Isn't this song just beautiful? I have heard it on/off over the years but just recently thought it was such a lovely song and made me feel quite emotional when thinking of certain times/people in my life! Not quite sure why.

Why do Leona's fans always post a video of her singing a song as if to prove a point and that I'm missing out or mistaken? I didn't say her voice had gone downhill, I said it had changed a lot since Spirit and not in a good way, in my opinion her voice is harsher sounding, she's shouty and I don't like it ok?

Because your point was stupid, her voice has barely changed, if at all from Spirit.

Voices mature over time. It's been 6 years since she recorded Spirit so obviously she sounds deeper. I don't know where you've got "shouty" from because that's the last adjective I would associate with her voice.

I love "Yesterday". Upon first hearing Spirit it was one of my favourites and I really wanted it to be the second or third single. It's such an emotional song, Leona herself admitted it's her most personal song.

As for her voice, you have to remember she was 21/22 when she recorded Spirit. Now she's 27 and her voice has matured and gotten deeper. She also struggles with chronic tonsillitis, she was ill a lot during the Echo era.

I wish she'd performed it live too. Maybe it would make her very emotional because of the personal attachment?
