Exactly, but like all these fame hungry "celebrities" that would not generate enough public interest and people would not buy OK.
By making it cheap and tacky it sells these trashy magazines.

Agreed. There are some mementoes and reminders of a loved one that should be cherished in private. I also have lost a baby and keep a memory box that is MINE and too sacred for public consumption!

I've never heard of anyone taking their babies ashes to their wedding but this is Kym Marsh, maybe others have done it but kept it private. To me it's a very personal thing. Poor woman for having lost a baby though.

Hi Fred- I think Petey is now with someone 16 years his junior and as I'm old enough to be her mother I think my time has passed I went off the Andre anyway- too needy, small and cheesy for me! Sorry you never got to wear your bridemaids dress in the end.....

I find the posing with the ashes a bit creepy. I know she's a media whore but that is a new low.

I thought it was totally inappropriate.

Wow. there's a thread about this on Mumsnet and the poor person who started it - saying more or less what is being said on here - is being absolutely SLATED and called all sorts of horrible things. My heart is going out to her, to be honest.

Neither can I. My sister was actually booted off there for having a laugh and posting under a couple of names. But she still lurks now and then and showed me this thread. The sanctimonious posts from some people are unbelievable. Its like a competition to see who can show the most empathy.

What, with this and Katie Price dredging up her alleged rape again, zelebs do seem to be resorting to increasingly bizarre and tasteless methods to keep the media and public interested. They need to get a grip, some common sense and some self-respect, not to mention respect for their loved ones who have to read this stuff and see the pics!

I agree. Chantelle is another example. Every heartbreak, tear, trauma and disappointment has to be displayed all over OK for everyone to see. I wonder how her daughter will feel about that when she grows up.

I totally agree. Kim's photoshoot is as DiamondDoll says inappropriate not to mention beyond tasteless. As for KP, well she's always been an attention seeking drama queen.

If Kym felt the need to have her son's ashes at her wedding she should've kept it private and not allowed herself to appear on the front cover of a mag, clutching them.

Have to agree.

So sad to lose a baby, but pictures in OK mag is that really necessary? The things people do for money.

It's pretty simple why that photo is on the front. The casual woman or whatever demographic group OK appeals to walk into the shop to pick out one of the girly mags. They see that photo and instantly think "what the hell" and pick it up and want to read more and then buy it!

The Olympics is over now so the Z list race for headlines has begun.

This lot have had a few months while all the sport has been on the front pages to sit in their agents office and come up with even more extreme crap to ensure they are top dog of the zelebs. Most of them even had the indignity for seeing a proper celeb divorce shunt their silly little antics out of the spotlight as well so they all really need to get creative to get people giving a rats arse about their latest *exclusive*.

I'm too 'worried' about Alex and Chantelle to take on any more 'celebrity heartache'.We all have our limits of compassion after all.........

I started reading the thread with some mild amusement at the way the more self righteous posters were deliberately twisting other posters words so they could work themselves up into a state of pompous indignation.
But towards the end I actually found it very uncomfortable. Some of the posters seemed to be trying to outdo each other with stories of their dead babies and then some unfortunate poster whose child had been stillborn at the weekend came on and started effing and blinding at another poster. Instead of quietly retreating from the thread and realising it had gone too far some of the other mothers almost swooped on her posts with delight as another example to show how 'compassionate' they were. The whole thing was deeply distasteful, with a whole group of posters egging each other on to higher and higher pitches of screaming indignation and aggressive abuse of anyone who didn't agree with them, and I cannot understand how the thread wasn't deleted.
