I don't agree. I don't buy his relationship with Izzy though. She's more like his older sister than his partner.

The actors fantastic. Mikey North is one of the few of the younger cast that could really hold their own alongside the legends within the cast.
He can really play out the intense emotional stuff, without it coming across forced or unnatural. It's just a shame they writers have Gary so sectioned off from the rest of the cast. |

Agree, I think I said in another thread I enjoyed him in his early days with his Uncle going around stealing from the yard etc, but since the Army storyline he has been one of my worst characters on the street. It doesn't help that he's shacked up with someone who is terrible at acting and constantly gives hints that she doesn't want to be with him, the whole set up isn't working at all with the Windasses, why did they get rid of Eddie and his Uncle.

I thought he was brilliant last night. The relationship with Izzy doesn't do much for me but their scenes last night were top notch.

At times he's a very convincing actor, same goes for the actress playing Izzy but I have cringed a few times since the surrogacy story line began and now I'm fed up of Garry and Izzy full stop

I think he's a good actor, and suits his character. The sister/ surrogate mother storyline is his downfall here. They can't afford to pay anyone to have a baby for them as far as I know, so I hope they just put the storyline on the back burner. ,

agree OP. Feel sorry for the actor though...having to whinge and whine and sniffle through the 'Why won't you let us have a babeeeeeeee' scenes with Izzy.
Also, why do nearly all the characters in CS talk in cliches? I swear I can predict everything that comes out of their mouths. It gets tedious. It's become a bit of a chore tbh;following CS. On the other hand I think they were trying to be funny with the Barlows so please keep trying, writers. |

I think he's quite a good actor, but his storylines are dire and like Keeki, I don't buy the Gary/Izzy relationship.

I have no problem with the actor, but the character is very boring. And being put with the dreadful Izzy is not doing him any favours.

Hes dreadful and needs to get some proper acting classes.Last nights performance was cringing, awful and really showed up how crap he is.
