He's still got more than Kimberley and Victoria (200k+) - but just not such a big 2 to one lead as Harry did.

He's better off than say Sid who has half as many followers as Ola (she has 100k) but Sid may have lots of older fans.”

Of course, Nicky has been on Twitter longer than Kimberley or Victoria - I'm not sure of the exact dates, though. So comparing Twitter followers isn't an exact science.

EDIT: Did a bit of research as I have no life. Nicky has been on Twitter since at least October 2009 as that's when the link to his feed was added to his Wikipedia article. I'm pretty sure Kimberley only started tweeting late last year or early this year

Either way - in spite of a significant head start Nicky only has a 40k lead over Kimberley. So just 'how many followers' isn't necessarily the whole story.

Yes, its a shame they didn't put her with a "hot" young dancer.

Didn't stop them being the top boy band for several years. I think being Irish is a plus.

It is hard to compare twitter follower stats.

Dani harmer looked better in this training clip than in the actual LDFSR performance. Sometimes when videos are processed the music can get a bit out of sync with the picture. You can see that on some when their voice and lips are out of sync.

The Spice Girls had completely disbanded years before Emma Bunton appeared no Strictly, whereas Girls Aloud have gone quiet recently. It is not known if women will vote for the latest multi millionairess on SCD10 seeing they shunned Emma Bunton before.

If this year turns out to be a rerun of the Harry fanbase landslide then voting is pointless. Will Westlife fans say, I will vote for him because he is our boy, right or wrong?

We don't get statistics released for Strictly, but Dougie was never on top of the vote for IAC until the very end.

At the end of the day nobody is going to win this show without being a talented enough dancer. We shall see.”

There's no way of telling why people are voting for the celeb, so how much is fans brought to the show and how much is acquired on the show is a guess.

GA are planning to release a new single for Children in Need followed by a tour early next year.
