EE Episode Thread, Tuesday 11/09/12

Oh ho. I was approached to do the episode thread for tonight because someone pulled out. I will not name the one who approached me or the one who pulled out in order to protect them. Please excuse my first attempt at this, I am not the most tech person. The last engineer who tried to explain something to me after the 20th time said he was going to commit suicide and then cut the call. Let us see what happens.

SPOILERS

CAST AND CREW

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01mqmqd

Now I would like the opportunity to promote the DS Soap Forum Awards which are being held. There is until Saturday to vote. It is a bit of fun and make us get to know each other better here in our community. Unfortunately the thread was moved to Chatter in General. Please take the time to vote for your favorite fellow forum members and PM me your votes. http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1732681
For full list of categories see page 4, post 92. Thank you.

OK, can I just thank the person who gave me the opportunity to try something new and everyone enjoy the episode.

OK!

There was no Butcher on the square for years before as Pat was tecnically an Evans.

Not to me (or many i would assume)
Pat is Butcher,Peggy is Mitchell,Pauline was Fowler,Sharon is Watts,Dot is cotton no matter who and how many times they have married. plenty still say Sharon watts or Dot cotton no matter how many years ago they married.

I agree about them all but one tbh. I do think of Dot as a Branning now.

I dunno. Dot seems regarded as 'Dot Cotton' by the media still and i've seen posts about her on Twitter and stuff as 'Dot Cotton' i think when a character is iconic as the ones i mentioned they will always be remembered as their main name.

I suppose maybe because Jim and Dot are made to be together. Pat and Roy wern't, Peggy and Frank wern't so more people accept her Branning name. To me "Dot Cotton" sounds wrong now. She's Dot Branning for me. She's been a Branning for almost as long as she was a Cotton on the show hasn't she?

I see her as both really, more Branning tbh

Whitney is a Butcher. She was adopted by Bianca, now a Butcher and Tiff and Morgan are apparently still in the square

Does Jack just hang out on park benches now and wait until his next female victims stroll into his trap?

Thought Alfie was going to have someone in bed with him then for a minute...Wouldn't that be a shock twist.
