Metro the free morning newspaper had a little snippet today, saying CP has been approached to appear in January's new BB show. After his recent troubles, (& seeing how Vanessa Feltz & Les Dennis became 'unhinged') - is this wise for him?

ps been unable to find this reported online so far.

Well, it is very cynical of Channel 4 to ask him , knowing full well that he will probably accept for the money .... they obviously want him to crack up on screen !! Very cruel.let's hope he doesn't fall into the trap

I heard somewhere it starts in January too.

Regarding Chris Parker, I think he needs he head tested if he even thinks about doing BB and if anyone around him gives a damn about him then they'll advise him not to either. It's way too soon, I think he needs to keep his head down for a while to let it all blow over before being involved in something so high profile.

If he's any sense he'll steer well clear. With his recent emotional problems CBB sounds like an increadibly bad move. I've no wish to see his atroucious acting on my tv screen ever again, but I certainly don't wish the bloke to give himself even bigger problems then he's already got.

Celeb BB was axed last year, but they've decided to bring it back now.

I agree - I don't want to see him, and he ought to keep his dead down anyway. If he accepts it can only be because either he's very badly advised (and after what's happened he should know better) or he's a publicity wh*re who can't keep out of the limelight, it would be a VERY bad decision for someone in his position.

wait for the so-called "exclusive" interviews once he is booted out. i thought he wanted to steer clear of being in high-profile situations?!

this is pathetic, it could push him further over the edge, and he can kiss many votes of sympathy goodbye if he intentionally goes in there knowing he cant hack it!

Yes, if he accepts it, it's his own naive fault.
I really hope he doesn't because it could push him furhter into depression but if he does, I'm not going to lie awake worrying about it.

If he takes that path, then it's his own silly choice

Celebrity Big Brother does indeed start on the 6th January. They weren't going to make any more but after the huge success of Big Brother 5, they thought they would be mad not to try and capitalise on it. Celeb versions are always crap.

I hope Chris Parker doesn't accept. If he couldnt' handle all the attention on EastEnders, he can hardly accept two weeks living in a house where he will be watched and gossiped about in all the tabloid newspapers EVERY DAY for two weeks!

Having just re-read the article, it says he has also been asked to appear in a celeb version of 'Would Like to Meet' (BBC3's dating show). That's more up his street I think - he would get to 'prove' he's straight too.

I hope they don't offer him a contract, I don't want to be subjected to him going on and on about how he isn't gay.

I don't think he should do it, a) because recent events have shown he might not be able to deal with it emotionally and b) Imagine being subjected to CP 24 hours a day!

The producers had better make sure they provide plastic cutlery.
