I saw that situation differently, at the time of the SS, Ian and Jenn knew they did not count as far as Boogie was concerned. Britney and Dan were nice to him, by standards at that time, that meant they talked to him as many others had dismissed him as camera hungry or a dweeb. He went to them with his info about intent to evict Dan as a gift in return for their protection.I suppose it could be called a strategy, I see it as desperation calling for desperate measures, survival skills. Reactive not proactive as in implementing a strategy.
Ian has never really been in this position though. I would reserve that description for Dan's "funeral" strategy. Ian saw the advances from Dan and Britney as an opportunity to get into the game and he took it with alacrity.

During his many mutterings, he says a lot about needing to win, mentions Dan, the trouble is there is no way of knowing if he is going over past situations or planning. On past performance, he is going over old situations; I have a suspicion his "problem" inhibits his ability to project forward.
I'm not qualified to comment but (LOL) I don't perceive Ian's need for constant movement (ADHD or whatever the cause) has impaired his higher brain functions. But I don't really know.

Just to add fyi, Ian didn't go to them with this information as a bargaining tool. He was explicitly sent by Britney, to discover Frank's intentions, since she had seen Wil and Ashley go upstairs to negotiate. In other words, Ian was already working with Britney by then.

His knowledge of BB meant he knew he had to be in some sort of alliance to survive; his Team was not working for him as he realised he was an outsider as far as the team leader Boogie was concerned, so he had to find an alternative. I am not sure about how things were with other HGs at that point, I think Joe had tried to form a Diversity group but was he ever invited? I suspect not as Joe did not talk to him until recently and once he did, became more sympathetic.

I grant you, Dan was in a truly desperate situation. I may have been a tad hyperbolic about Ian.

I am not an expert on ADHD/Autistic spectrum but I know enough to recognise possibles and many of his behaviours would alert me to talk to specialists for advice. He voiced empathy for his stuffed toy being hung off the balcony.

I have just seen this after my post, I cannot argue about this as I did not follow the feeds much early in the show, so I will take your word on it. I tend to get more involved as numbers fall and groups develop.

Britney has always been good at talking with people, sometimes to manipulate them, not always successful, she hit lucky with Ian as he was fairly friendless.

I remember it very well because Ian's subsequent report to Britney and Danielle contained the information that Frank did not rate Danielle as any kind of threat to him. The possible backdooring of Dan then became somewhat of a secondary issue to her....

Spot on - it doesn't. Watching Ian's constant pacing or swinging on the hammock and muttering is like watching myself. I am an older female version of Ian and have the exact same "problem". It doesn't impair his ability to think or plan or project forward in anyway. It might make him seem weird (honestly, this is the reason why I would never go on a reality TV show) but he is not mentally incapacitated in any way.

Miss Cleo's Twitter spoilers say that voting for favourite starts tomorrow and Ian's number is 6, this fits 'favourite houseguest' rather than 'juror'.

3) Dan
4) Danielle
5) Frank
6) Ian
7) Janelle
8) Jenn
9) Jodi

12) Kara
13) Mike
14) Shane
15) Wil
N/A) Willie

ADHD possibly, ASD no. There is nothing Ian does or says that suggests he is autistic. It seems to have become the thing nowadays to label anyone a bit quirky or eccentric as "probably having an ASD". It's nonsense.

I wouldn't read anything into him voicing empathy for his stuffed toy. Gerry Stergiopoulos did that all the time with his teddy bear and nobody suggested he needed a specialist. Please be wary of adding 2 and 2 and making 5.

It'll never happen but I would love a Jodi win just for the LOL factor.

Ian will win this easily with Frank second IMO.

So now that we know Dani is HOH how will this effect the veto and how it will be used.

A Dan veto win would leave him with the choice of Shane and Ian, and a decision which is rather tricky. Should he take Ian out Dan would leave himself having to win the final HOH to be sure of his safety, as there is the strong chance that Shane and Danielle would take each other to the end (in particular Shane), whilst keeping Ian in the game guarantees Dan a place in the final two regardless of what happens, but keeps massive jury threat Ian in the game, and should Ian make the final he wins easily.

An Ian veto win leaves the decision between Dan and Shane, and I think Ian would side with taking out Shane since he believes strongly in Dan's 'New Renegades' mist, plus he too would be weary of Shane and Danielle playing for each other. Their is a chance that he would take out Dan though since Ian is very show orientated, and the premise of him being 'the guy that took out Boogie, Frank AND Dan' would be quite tempting.

A Shane Veto win leaves the choice between Dan and Ian, and whilst Shane isn't the sharpest tool in the box he does identify Ian's jury threat, so a Shane win would take Ian out.

I think Ian would find it much more satisfying to sit with Dan in the final two and beat him that way!

Someone's written an "autobiography" of Danielle, based on her own words
