Why are you using an old version?

15.01 may well be the latest version but if i install that and continue to get problems whats the point, this is an Adobe/Mozilla problem regarding Adobe flash plugin crashes. Anyone else got an alternative broswer other than google chrome which doesnt crash.

No problem with chrome how about IE?, if the problem is on firefox only it makes sense to update because it may contain a fix but you will not know unless you try it.

Also make sure you are running the latest version of Adobe as well it's going to take a few minutes to update it may work.

Reinstalled 13.01?

You don't exactly use it often. Adobe supply the Flash.

What version of Flash are you using?

Is it any site that uses Flash or only a specific one?

It crashes on any site will just randomly crash the browser will freeze then it will come up saying adobe flash plugin crashed. I have the Latest Adobe flash plugin which is 11.4.402.265 also checking for other Adobe downloads i have Adobe Flash player Active x 11.3.300.271 and Adobe Reader X 10.1.4.

Try the latest Firefox and the latest Flash, and no other plugins, addons or extensions. It should be ok unless there's a problem with a specific site. Then try installing any other plugins etc that you want to use.

A current comparison.

It is also worth noting that Windows RT (Metro) has banned 3rd party code just like IOS, so only expect to see it on Android, OS/X and x86 Windows computers.

I was always a big FF fan right from the beginning though seemed to get alot of problems with it over the last year or so, freezes and crashes so I ditched it...

Chrome seems much faster and more stable on my machine, not had a single problem with it.

I am using Firefox 15.0.1 and Adobe Flash Version 11.4.402.265, Adobe reader 10.1.4 and Adobe Acrobat 10.1.4.28 and have had no trouble with them.

FWIW according to this article (published 4-Jun-12) "Microsoft ... said that it has embedded Adobe's Flash Player in the Metro version of Internet Explorer 10 (IE10) in Windows 8 and Windows RT."
http://www.computerworld.com/s/artic...n_Metro_s_IE10

However, there's much contradictory information on the web about this issue, due in part I think to confusion between IE10 in the Metro mode of full Windows 8 and IE10 in Windows RT. I also get the impression that Microsoft have changed their mind about this at least once, so the article might be out of date.

Same for me. I was a big Firefox supporter, dating right back to the early BETA days of Mozilla Firebird, but it has really lost its way now and i've finally ditched it off all my devices in favour of Chrome. I'd still use it over IE though

Yep, Flash with a white list for Windows on ARM is possibly an attempt to say they have not done an anti Android deal with Adobe.

With the EU clobbering Microsoft on the browser ballot thing they also have to make sure RT is more gadget than PC.

Obviously this makes for a tricky situation.

I recently updated to version 15 (yesterday)

Last week I downloaded Version 11.4 of Flash Player and everything seemed to be working with my previous version of Firefox.

Now it does not. Everytime I tried to use Firefox it was coming up with problems with Flash Player. I could not use
You tube or the BBC I Player

At the moment I took off version 11.4. I already had a 10.3
version of Flash player in my downloads directory on my pc (as I Had downloaded it last year).. I re-installed v10.3. You Tube is fine although Firefox is telling me my plugins are out of date. I Still can't use the BBC I Player.

I used to love firefox - far better interface than Internet Explorer. Google chrome seems okay but not a patch on Firefox. Plus I can't close a window in Chrome with the Right X (at the top right of the Screen) nor can you minimise the window with the minimise button (Next to the Right X).
(Unless someone knows otherwise). To close a window in Chrome I have to close it by moving the mouse to the top left part of the window)

I now use IE explorer to watch You tube and BBC I Player.

So when Is this problem going to get fixed so I can start using Firefox again?. I don't know what another solutions are. Is this problem Adobe's fault or Mozilla's fault.

Hopefully this problem will get sorted soon of Firefox will get taken off my pc which is a shame.

Is Safari a good web browser? .

Same story here.

Firefox had the potential to be the biggest browser in the World, but shoddy release after shoddy release has meant a lot of people have migrated to Chrome.

Chrome does everything Firefox does, but faster, better and more reliabley. Yes the buttons are in slightly different places and the bookmarks take a while to get used to, but it is by far the superior browser currently.

Just wondering, could perhaps the problems that some people have with Firefox be caused by poor quality add-ons/plugs/extensions, rather than the browser itself?

Either that or the hardware acceleration setting is on.

It is the plug-ins that make FF a stand out browser.
Of course your Joe Average user does not need them.

There ain't that many power users around really.

I don't think so, not in my case anyway. Only use a handfull of addons, same ones I've added to Chrome and not had a single problem yet in a month or so, Firefox was forever freezing and crashing.
