Well yeah, Sarah. To the extent Walker and Lynsey were buildup for Later, Cheryl's had to respond to all of that and be depressed. And post-Later won't see any let up. I expect she'll be comforted at first at seeing Pa again though (initially before the shit comes avalanching out of the family closet), and then hopefully her and Brendan's relationship will be restored enough for her to let in on and happy for her brother when he and Ste reunite. But she won't see enough peace for anything comical any time soon.

And in Later, is it that Brendan just finds out Walker's police and he's been played? Or does he find out about Lynsey and Walker's motives for revenge? I hope that's what's going on in this scene Neil said he can't talk about. It'd be a such a broken moment for them both. I just don't know where it'll fit, given how fast they make it seem the fire's set off from after they arrive at he house.

Some spoilers say that he finds out about Walker being an undercover cop, others imply that he also finds out about Walker's vengeful intentions/motives (Cam and Lynsey, I assume).
I'm pretty sure Brendan punches him before the call/explosion scene, so I guess it's possible.

I still feel that Walker is dead and/or gone after Later.

He's saying Emmett cockblocked him and he weird mannequin he's sitting beside. Susan, I've decided her name is.

Mm, I don't think he's gonna come back to the village, personally.

I think he might do a runner, thinking Brendan knows, and come back later when Emmett wants to leave.

I mean I know people say it has to be resolved before he leaves but no it doesn't.

Apologies if this has been discussed before - I have missed a lot - but what is the point of having a Western theme for Later if not to have a High-Noon-style showdown (except without guns, I would hope)? Are we all certain that both Brendan and Walker survive Later?

Yeah. At the very least, I never thought he'd remain center stage as the main issue with Pa about. And so there's no point him sticking around not to be any kind of focus anymore.

The most sexual thing he's done is probably knit a willy sack.

Not to mention, I think, if Walker thinks Brendan is dead, then his plan is ruined. He can't hurt Brendan by hurting his loved ones if Brendan is dead.

So maybe he goes away for a bit, then hears Brendan is alive, then comes back to punish him once and for all.

Cos I really don't think Walker would have any place in the village after. Not with Pa arriving.

If Brendan does find out about Lynsey and Cam, then Walker could actually die, I think. Cos there would be that dramatic scene of Walker's diatribe, and then the mags say, he and Cheryl and Brendan are all blown away, but Cheryl's the first one to regain consciousness. Walker isn't mentioned, and he's so entirely unscathed in that preview pic, so I am thinking it's a red herring. So maybe he does die, or we don't see him after the explosion and find out what happened to him for sure, and Brendan's just left with his memories of Walker's revenge to learn from as the resolution.
