Without the Mitchells and Heather, she seems pointless to me. I don't see what direction they can take her unless they brought back her kids.

Im glad she coming back, but i do think your right and i have a feeling she'll become a 'Denise character' used for other people SL or not used at all. Thats why i think it would be a good idea if Carley and Deano returned with her.
I would also like to see Chelsea return, LN needs to give Denise her own SL.

We know that Phil won't be going to prison any time soon, which makes her threats seem pointless to me too. When she said "I'll be back" I thought "what for?"

I hate the fact that Denise has been sidelined, Diane Parrish is a brilliant actress and is being wasted!

Couldn't agree more. I think that is the big danger that Shirley will just become a support character for other characters' storylines. I mean she wasn't a big character before she joined the Mitchells. So what's gonna happen to her without them?

Yeah, I'd like to see Chelsea return as well. Maybe she can give Sharon advice about her two-day addiction to drugs . I'm sure Sharon will be inspired not to get addicted to painkillers when she hears her story haha.

LOL I said that too.

Shirley is the master of empty threats. She always threatened Philth about cheating on her or treating her bad, yet did nothing when he does it. Just another doormat like Alfie if you ask me. At least she had the courage to end it with Philth though.

Also, instead of attacking Philth, she offers him a drink lol. Yet, she's happy to pin Jay against the wall. She can't attack the man who covered up her best friend's murder but can attack a teenage boy who reluctantly went along with Phil's plan. In the end, she knows she can't touch Phil from the physical and mental sense.

Exactly. While I do appreciate the fact that she's ended it with Phil, I hated the way she treated Jay as opposed to Phil. If she thinks Phil's paying by losing everyone, what about Jay? He has no house, nobody to stand up for him and no family (Bert's long gone) to look after him. He's suffering too. Yet she treats him like crap because she knows she can't take Phil on.

Quoted for truth. It defies logic really. Philth hasn't paid for anything, he's got off scot free as per usual. Surely, Shirley knows Philth good enough to know that he doesn't give a damn if he loses everyone. He'll still carry on trying to be the King Bully of the Square regardless.

You hit the nail on the head there. Phil, as we know, will be busy running the pub in order to "take his mind off things". Nobody would DARE to take on King Philth I of Walford, lest he breaks into their house and smacks them around with his trusty baseball bat.

Lol true. I wonder if the feud with Derek will reignite? Seems like the perfect time now. Philth will probably enjoy taking his mind off things as you say and trying to reassert his status as King Bully. Still holding onto hope that they kill each other someday soon .

Lol same. They should have a stand-off in the Square, drawing guns on each other. Joey could get caught in the crossfire

Exactly, her pathetic empty threats that she spent so much time shouting to phil instead of telling the police. I also hated the way she was with Jay (violent) but to phil all she did was shout her empty threats and have a rant. Shirley is the female doormat of EE.

With "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" Music playing . It might be the slowest gun battle in history considering it's Phil and Derek we're talking about here .

Indeed. I'm still trying to figure out why she hasn't grassed Phil to the police. She couldn't even live up to her promise to get proper justice for Heather. Sure the murderer's in jail, but letting Phil go isn't justice.

Shirley's always been comfortable bullying people who have no power to retaliate (Heather, Abi and now traumatised Jay). She won't do anything to Phil except make empty threats. I've always hated that about Shirley and wish someone in Walford would call her out for her bullying.

I know, what a crap friend to have. I still dont get why she hasnt told the police and whats worse is she lied for him then makes her empty threats, but if she tells the police now she'll also be in trouble. Heather deserve a better friend than Shirley, she was always rude to her and chose Phil over Hev countless times so maybe we shouldnt be surprised she chose phil again over Hev.
