Pure diddums, and a news item this film-related is hardly nonsense. Hope it's a belter.

I really, really, really hope that this isn't true. I can't stand her dreary, bland singing, and in my opinion it would be totally out of tone with a Bond movie.

I do hope that this is true, Adele will add her own touch on a bond theme and make it something special. The last one, Another way to Die just didnt hit the spot for me.

The last three Bond theme songs have been awful. I'll give her a chance if it's true.

I think that a few potential songs get recorded so Adele may not have got the gig yet. Muse recently said that they'd recorded a track which they hoped would be selected.

Wasn't Shirley furious back in the day, once Tina sang Goldeneye?

Ist possible not to watch a film due to the artist who is singing the title theme, it could be a first for me.

There is a discussion in the James Bond Forums that she only sing during the end credits. I believe not, but maybe you are lucky.

So you wouldn't see a two hour film just because of a three minute song sung by Adele?

Rather pathetic and immature imo.

I wouldn't go that far, although Adele will be the worst theme song singer since Sheena Easton.

Yep think it will be very apparent when her drony tones start, the brain goes into meltdown one advantage of not seeing it at the cinema is you can FF through the song.

I thought You Know My Name was a fantastic theme. Really different to anything before it but still worked.

I sometimes think people focus on the actual song too much rather than how that song suits the film and the titles it appears with. There's this thing that it "doesn't sound like a Bond song". Let's be honest what is a Bond song? I think there's this idea that they should all be big, booming Shirley Bassey/Tom Jones-a-likes, but in reality that type of song is only a small percentage of the songs in total.

I suppose Paul McCartney broke the mould with Live and Let Die and from then on more energetic songs came along with the occassional old-fashioned song popping up such as Moonraker, All Time High.

You Know My Name suited the grittiness of Casino Royale very well, and the much-maligned (mainly Madonna haters) Die Another Day worked really well against the themes in the films story. In fact I'd go so far as to say Madonnas song was one of the best things about the awful film.

I'd honestly prefer Taylor Swift to Adele. The only person who would annoy me more than Adele doing the song would be if they got Justin Bieber to do it...

Personally, I hope the Muse one gets selected, although i imagine that considering how much hype there would be around Adele doing it, it'll probably end up being her.

Yeah i agree, i actually really liked You Know My Name, it completely suited the film and was catchy, unlike the mess of a song that was Another Way To Die. I watched QoS a few weeks ago and it struck me just how bad the song was.
