So...the gays of England and Wales can marry, the UK has a well received Eurovision entry and there's a nun singing* on The Voice of Italy (as Raffaella Carrą** looks on)...are these all signs of an impending apocalypse?!

*I love that song
**And now I need to go to bed but I have A far l'amore comincia tu stuck in my head!

No, that comes when Conchita wins in May.

I know how that feels. I'm so so sorry. 17 years is a long and happy life for a cat, many hugs for you.

Thanks ,she lived a long and happy life and was well loved. She had some thyroid problems recently which we were starting to get under control, but she had lost a lot of weight and looked quite frail, at least she's at peace now.

Oh no!

It's just heartbreaking when you're always used to their presence and it's like you've grown up together. I've gone through it a few times, coming from a dog loving family, it's just like losing one of the family. 17yrs is a fantastic innings and I'm sure they know you gave them a good life and enjoyed those years as much as you did. You will always have the fond memories, painful to think about now, but they will be a comfort in time.

Yeah she was very much part of the family and I was over protective of her at times, there's loads of happy memories though which will be cherished.

Is anyone else affected by the Sahara sandstorm? So many dirty cars around and I was choking on it earlier.

According to the DEFRA site it's supposed to be level 8 pollution where I am, but it's just like any other muggy day to me.

I think we got more of it in the East than you did up there. In fact the UK seems to import most of it's weather from abroad, cold wind from Russia, snow from Scandinavia and now sand storms from Africa. UKIP won't be very happy with this.

Yeah East Anglia seems the worst effected on this side of the channel on that map. They won't be impressed, all this foreign weather disrupting the country!

Terribly sad, 25 is no age at all! That's only a year younger than me!

Totally shocked, you just don't expect it, so so young as well. Those poor kids. Hope it wasn't PND, happens too often. Poor Bob too, he never seems to have any sort of personal life without tragedy

She was barely 6 months older than me, it's just so surreal to think she's gone.

Spoiler

Sudden and unexpected are words the police use in these cases, unexplained and suspicious tend to be the more concerning ones used...

It's just so tragic, PND is the first thing that came to my mind though - especially given her last twitter post

I feel more sorry for Tiger Lily, always have

Shocked and saddened to hear of Peach's passing.

She seemed to absolutely relish her role as a mother and was growing up into an intelligent, devoted young woman. I hope the media give her family the time and space they need to grieve for her.

Settling down and motherhood really seemed to suit her and brought out the best in her, whilst still keeping that 'edge' she had what with taking down the Hopkins troll.

Tragedy just seems to follow some families. All the more sad and poignant in its own way that her last tweet should be a picture of her as a little 'un with her mum. I feel for Tiger Lily as well, to lose both parents and now a sister must be devastating!

I think the one comfort we can take is that Bob has really embraced all of his girls and will be striving to keep them together.

Exactly, whatever anyone thinks of Bob as a person, the love and care he's provided all of them is the one thing he's done right.

It's really awful news. I really liked seeing pictures of her, Tom and the boys because they looked like a lovely family. I hope he's holding up ok. I've heard so many positive things about her, and the way she spoke about being unable to grieve for her mother really resonated with me. It's such a waste. Awful for all the family.
