I really really really hate places with poor customer service. I tried to hand in a job application at Wilko's yesterday but apparently it was a day late - somebody had ****ed up and put the deadline a day late on the UEA website, so seems like I've had a lucky escape.
Anyway, I walked up to the customer service desk and said where do I need to hand this in and the woman just went "You're too late". I mean, that's actually really quite rude when you think about it. If she was professional and did her job properly she should have said "The deadline was yesterday and we can't take in any more applications, apologies. Please keep an eye out for any future vacancies though and we'll be happy to take in your application at a further date". They've blatently missed out an amazing employee. ![]() (Sorry for the rant but it's been quiet in this thread anyway, plus it's helping me procrastinate from the economics article I'm supposed to be reading..) |

Go read that article Ben! I loved Economics and the internal workings of Milton Friedman *goes all misty eyed*
Anyway, Day one of puffing away on e-cigs ... have a very sore throat. Found that I had to puff on them in the same situations as I would with normal tobacco, so have been going out into the garden whilst emitting a strange blue light... Also had a puff on my meal break at work today whilst going out for a stroll, I forgot it was fake and nearly threw it down the drain like I did with spent cigarettes, that would have been an expensive mistake! |

![]() I gave up when pregnant with LA, but cos I went back to work almost straight after he was born, it was a fairly crap existence and I turned back to my good friend Phillip Morris... Am fairly determined right now - never smoke in front of Little Anzej (obviously) but he's keen for me to save some money to get him an XBox for Christmas |

I do get the impression that the "**** factor" (ie: I feel like a proper one!) will stop me smoking probably more than the faux fags
EDIT: Oooh, I don't think I've ever been subjected to DS's norty filter before! If anyone has some spare time they should watch some of these videos. Hilarious. My favourite in this one is the Wheel of Fortune answer ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-fhczVB5XI |

Wasn't it you who uncovered Gotye last year? I think the acts you enter should start giving you some royalties.
