Bloody gutted at the death of Rik Mayall.

He was my comedy hero and, just like Eurovision, Bottom and the Young Ones is a kind of comforting blanket I sink into whenever things get a bit much. I love all of his work and to lose him so young is a real blow. Thoughts are obviously with his family who must be in total shock at this

After more than a year and a half of looking for work I've finally got myself a full time job with Direct Line.

I feel amazing that after so many attempts I've finally got a job, like Sanna when she won Melfest or Valentina when she qualified to the final. (I'd applied for Direct Line twice before without success so we're both third time lucky after all!)

So excited!!! The kick off times couldn't be any more perfect.

Spain or Germany for me, although the 'dream final' of Brazil v Argentina would be good!

Netherlands for me - just cos the OH is Dutch. Although I don't really like football, the only time I watch it is the world cup... even then, I don't like it xD! I guess it's sort of like the olympics where you just watch because you have to

Got my money on Germany as well, although was tempted by Argentina.

Really excited for the World Cup, except the England games.

The opening ceremony honestly has to be the shittest thing I've ever seen. Genuinely no redeeming factors.

I was looking forward to watching that all day. I wish I never bothered, what a complete shambles.

The sound feed was dire. All they broadcast was the noise from the stadium, you couldn't hear a single thing from the performance of the official anthem.

Oh and the stadium itself looked like something you'd see from a League 1 club here in England.

A genuinely horrific piece of watercooler TV- who on earth was the creative director?

Everything from the over-long dance sequence to J-Lo's goldfish mouth as she made it quite clear she didn't know the lyrics to her own song. God help us when they have to put on a properly HUGE opening ceremony for Rio 2016.

No wonder they'd be happy for London to host again soon.

The best bit was when JLo and Pitbull were rising on the platform which then stopped, started going back down and then back up before stopping. They just stepped out and it rose right up to the top!
