My home is a five minute walk to BBC Pacific Quay. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to wonder up to see what they have done for the Commonwealth Games as I am caring for my mum.. But it is looking good on the TV

Normally a staple of Jordyn Wieber's floor routines, but she's not here 'cause she's American. I guess one of the other girls is a Ruslana fan and decided to borrow it.

Oh it wasn't even one of the floor routines, they were just playing music in the background all the way through and the instrumental version of Wild Dances came on after Kids by MGMT!

I did catch that one! The PA is a closet Eurovision fan?

Ah I see, I've been dipping in and out of gymnastics in amongst all the other stuff going on. I do know that from the coverage so far you wouldn't even know the women gymnasts existed, they're only showing the men, even though the Welsh girls are doing well.

Welcome to my world (I'm particularly fond of the one about the squirrel with rabies!)

Spooky.. a few hours ago, I got up to close the blinds, and I could not believe what I was seeing! Running across the roof, of the three story building opposite, was a daring grey squirrel.. Should I have reported the raider?

I know people like to tke the piss about my sexuality but Dan Keatings winning gold was great. He is a rather attractive fella!!!

Eilidh Child did Scotland proud as well. The reception she got at finishing runner up was phenomenal!

Even in real life I cannot escape Eurovision. I was in Frankie & Benny's earlier this evening and it was someone's birthday, all of a sudden 'Congratulations' started playing over the speakers. Bearing in mind it was the Cliff Richard edition and not the far more superior Silvia Knight classic, but you all knew that already.

Also if you haven't seen Guardians of the Galaxy, I strongly recommend you do so.

Lulu, Deacon Blue & Prides. Gosh this is dire. Shame Chvrches were pre-booked elsewhere. Can't wait for Kylie and Jessica to save this.
