Jessica is getting mauled on DS too in the 2 live threads, but I've done my bit to educate (mainly the who is this rants) and defend against the swell.

As if the year wasn't hurtling by as it was.

I'm gutted it's all over.

Glasgow has been so much fun over the last 2 weeks. They really have done brilliant and it's helped that every venue has been packed. Don't know why I ever had my doubts. Everyone we spoke to at the events had nothing but huge compliments for the city.

The one thing I hope we have achieved from the games is to change people's perception of our city. It doesn't get a great name but I hope we've showed what an excellent, friendly and sport mad city we are.

I have to admit during the road races today I thought they must have been in Edinburgh. Didn't realise Glasgow had areas like that.

I read recently it was voted in the top 5 most underrated cities in the world. As I say, I hope people see it in a different light now

I've spent a lot of today reading up on the history of the Israel and Palestine conflict.

I hate to see all the deaths that are occurring but I'm going to go against the popular opinion at the moment and say that I have no sympathy for Palestine(obviously I do for innocent families who have lost lives). They are certainly not the innocent party that most seem to be making them out to be

It does seem very one sided from a media perspective that they are all innocent. No-one seemed to care when thousands of Palestinians were murdered in the Syria conflict.

I am all for Israel as a nation and I do not deny their right to exist and to protect themselves. (But it is so disproportionate.) However, how can such a wronged people justify usurping the native Palestinian population. The Nakba is a hideous event...the abused Israeli Jews becoming the abusers. Zionist policies are destroying a fair and liberal Israel.

I despair that it's the 21st Century and the Middle East is still such a cluster****.

Not sure if this is the right thread but just wanted to say hello. I love Eurovision and love that DS gave it the only seperate TV sub thread.

God I hope Ashleigh wins. She's been brilliant, still can't believe she's only 18, she acts so much older. Otherwise I'd be happy with Christopher but I can't see him getting enough votes.

What a crock of shoite. Easiest ride to the final, when she would've been thrown out without it with all the numerous warnings she was given. Vile bully from day 1 and BB condones that for their winner, no wonder the ratings are dying on their arse.

Whole heartedly agree with all this, the producers are a bunch of Gobshites for condoning bullying.
