I'm so sorry to hear that Lisa. I've been through very similar myself, so I know how you must be feeling. It's a lot to cope with now, but one day you'll realise that you made it through and you'll be all the stronger for it. I hope you're doing ok at the moment.

Thinking of you and your family.

Ok, I've been contacted by a friend who's daughter is getting married at 4pm Saturday. Her chauffeur has cancelled tonight and she's wondered if me and Eric (my) Saab can fill in.

I've said yes, she's desperate - what could I do? With drop off at church, hour long service then photos then transport to the reception then travelling back home, that should take me to 7.30 - eek!!!

She was so desperate bless her, kept saying "I know how important Eurovision is to you!"

She should know, I've been playing her all the songs on night shifts

A cautionary tale of being too friendly with everyone...

Forget praying for artists...

Go to all the effort to make sure ESC time is freed up, but there's no accounting for what the none crowd want to plan!

bbc 3 catchup service? usually avaliable after an hour. Means staying up late but at least you will see it. Catchup is a boon for us as we use mainly that. Its great watching things on our schedule as opposed to being tied to tv events at specific times. Even if its only been on an hour you can restart the program.

My horrid neighbour is popping round tonight to drop of her pet tortoise that she'd like me to babysit while she's away this weekend.

She can throw him over the back fence if she comes any later than half seven - I'm not indulging her f**kery tonight.

Aww poor Torty!!! Chuck some food out for it and they take care of themself, unless they bugger off and bury under the fence/mud like ours used to.
