Are we all looking forward to the Olympics?

The swimming, athletics, cycling and hockey are my favourites

Is it just me or has there been very little buzz about it this year? If it wasn't for the Zika virus, I wouldn't even be aware that it was on.

I think it was always going to feel like a massive come down after London

Excited for all of it.

Not so excited about all the late nights it's going to involve though! The opening ceremony starts about midnight and will most likely overrun beyond 4am.

The time difference is perfect for me, I'm a night owl so usually up until 3am and sleep until around 11am, so it coudn't be better, much better than Beijing that did take it out of me a bit but I managed it.

After my night shift tonight I have my 2 weeks annual leave so all prepared to get into everything.

Used this two years ago but it's just as appropriate in 2016:

I can't wait to watch the opening ceremony live from...

Such a random entry.

Can't wait for the parade of nations!

Aside from Team GB, particularly looking forward to seeing Sweden (well duh), Syria and the Independent Refugee Athletes team march... I love a weepy flag display.

What a wonderful moment for the Refugee Olympic Team. They got an absolute roar from the crowd!

Norway stole the show sartorially. Where can I get a jacket like THAT?!

Loving the male gymnastics and swimming I don't think I'm watching for the intended reasons, though...

Just give him a Neurofen and a mug of hot milk and he'll be bouncing back first thing tomorrow morning!

I did see one tweet from a young boy (to be fair, he was very young!) saying he hoped he'd make a recovery so he could compete next week !

Is it too late for him to sign up for the Paralympics?

Beach Volleyball is completely dead. Stadium not even a 5th full. Basketball also completely empty, pretty much...

Beach volleyball was funny earlier Czech versus Brazil! The poor Czech girls got booed everytime they served!!! I think the people in the crowd were just jealous! They looked amazing!!!

The atmosphere in the swimming was electric this "morning" So hopefully it will carry on in 45 mins or so!

Brinn Bevan had the same sort for accident on the exact same tumble just 11 months ago...! And look at him now! I've got my physio hat on now, but I feel there is defo recovery room hopefully.
