Oh darn! Where about were you?

Norwich honey, and it's been a while since you've been hasn't it? I was mooching round and thinking how nice it would have been to bump into a friend and go for a coffee (and you could have carried some of my shopping too )

That would have been wonderful, we could have had a little girly natter whilst you sipped a grande mocha and I nursed a hot chocolate with whipped cream.

That must happen some day!

Meant to say Anne, did you see the Ben, Beau, Emma fiasco the other day in Aussie Masterchef?

Ben and beau should have been chucked out! They went from my favourites to least so

Beau should have gone, it was reprehensible that he just jumped in like that - Ben I kinda understand, but if he'd been really serious about not wanting to get her chucked out, shouldn't he have just cooked a shit cake? Bewildering ....

I still haven't missed an episode! Cos it's on 3 times a day, there's always some random time I can watch it (when I'm on a 1300-2200 shift I have to get up at 6am though!)

I was in Norwich today too.
That was a close call for you Ben! Don't forget that I know exactly what you look like and you could get dragged out of a crowd at any moment

It'd be an honour. Just let me know who you are before you start a conversation though, I'm usually in a world of my own when I'm in the city. Helps me to ignore the more annoying elements of our society.

The puppet man wasn't there today! There was a really good bloke with guitar combo just along from Primark though

Primark itself held the annoying elements within it's confines...screaming kids and sweaty chavs abounded

I love it when we have this local talk, I've been to the Norwich Primark and it's like a concentration camp, only they were more organised. Having said that, Chapelfield is my first stop when it comes to shopping.

Was sitting in watching the tv tonight when all of a sudden we heard this awful baby like screaming from outside.

We realised the cat was out so I ran outside to find him cornered by 3 huge foxes. luckily they scampered when they saw me.

The cat is probably agile enough to escape them but it was frightening. He was shaking like a leaf Only getting allowed out during the day for now until they bugger off

I think I've mentioned before that he spoke to me at Norwich bus station a few years ago. Freaky moment. I wasn't brave enough to go into Primark today, the mens section is upstairs so I always have the joy of trying to avoid pushchairs and old people on my way towards the escalator/stairs!

It's been funny hearing people from uni try to explain where they've been shopping in the city or where they've gone on a night out. Seems like the train station, Chapelfield and Wilko's are the only places that UEA campus-residing students know of.

Sorry about that, I'll have to call them off next time.

I know many places in Norwich, I used to go there fairly often to see a friend of mine until a few months ago when we had a row and we fell out and I was at the railway station sobbing. Haven't been back since.

As for Ipswich, Anne used to work at a building just 10 mins away from where I live.

Woke up to snow this morning. I can't remember the last time it snowed in October.

Anybody else had a light dusting?

No snow in Brighton; in fact it's quite sunny. Bloody cold though!

Sun, sun and more sun here in Oz. We did get snow about 2 weeks ago which nearly brought the city to its knees, first time in 109 years that it's happened in the late spring.

I'm starting to miss the cold.

I don't think I'd like having Christmas in summer. It's just not natural.

Quite agree wolfie. It's most odd. There's a Christmas parade next weekend here, which I attended once before, which has Santa and his sleigh, snowmen, reindeers and elfs all making their way through the city streets............the forecast for then is for 30 degrees. It's barking.

Do you have a BBQ or is that just on Neighbours?

Me personally, no. Friends do though. And even better, there are parklands that have barbecues for public use. You get your gang together, take your food and grog along and use one of the gas barbies that are built in the parks for your use. It's a great idea imo.
