I was only 4 when Dunblane happened, I really cannot imagine anything like that happening in this country ever again. God forbid.
I don't think it will ever happen here again |

Thats the thing. Our country learned from it, something America will never do.

The news today, is just devastating. I just cannot think, and dont ever want to have to think, what the parents will be feeling right now. To have your children, just taken, its just heartbreaking.
Barack Obama's speech is really moving and heartwarming http://edition.cnn.com/video/?/video...r-massacre.cnn |

We still have incidents like that bloke that shot his brother and then drove around shooting anyone he could find.

Things like that really scare me, just the thought of going about your business and some nutter pulls up in a car and shoots you point blank. But going along with what Geeky said, incidents of that kind are incredibly rare over here.

Did they make Denise dance to Roxanne because she's a bit of a whore?

I've never been excited for a SPOTY before. Hope for some thrilling Balding moments.

That shortlist is unbelievable. They all deserve one!
My top 3 would be Mo Farah, Bradley Wiggins and Andy Murray. If I had to pick one I'd go for Mo just because I don't think any Brit will ever do what he did again |

Really don't like that Australian swimmer with Tom Daley. Thought he was an awful pundit at the Olympics.

I really wouldn't mind Andy winning but part of me thinks he should win Wimbledon first...oh hang on, he's not even there, sod him! (Can't believe Andy Murray made me cry this year. Never thought that would happen. I read his book this year too!)
Also, if anyone's stuck with what to get me for Christmas, Novak would do, I suppose. |

Oh please don't let Murray win, it's always rubbish when awards are given to people who aren't there.

Which of the top 12 haven't got a book out? Ellie Simmonds would be my number 2 choice for a win here, with Jess Ennis in 3rd (she has those abs which should be reward enough

In all seriousness why shouldn't Andy concentrate on his career rather than fly over for a few hours for an awards ceremony

Are they having a pop at Chris Hoy too? If not, it's just an anti Andy thing.
Up next it's golf's Harry Styles. I personally think he's got a great personality. Very dry |

Not even mentioned. I think the term sports personality of the year should be changed. It should be about achievement but it seems people base it on "personality" which is why I doubt Andy can win.
I personally think he's got a great personality. Very dry Nicola Adams would be a worthy winner too - breaking sexist barriers one hell of a smile at a time. |
