I was wondering this, too. Would they be calling it terrorism if a white person did it?
This might be your answer Ulfie...

I also can't fathom how the news are classing this as terrorism. Surely it's just a couple of idiots!!

Can be seen as terrorism for: ideologically based attack intend to harm and spread fear and terrorism is the use of violence to pursue political aims. the perpetrators were filmed saying it was because of the goverment.

The majority of the rioters are immigrant youths apparently.
Not often you hear of rioting in a country like Sweden is it?

I believe it was after police shot dead a migrant who was armed with a machete, similar story to how our riots started 2 years ago.

I've got a date tomorrow with a teacher. Will I have to raise my hand whenever I want to speak and say 'Please Sir'?

Oh, he was a nice guy but we weren't really interested in each other. We did however have a nice Eurovision chat on the way home.

Hope the op went well and that you'll recover soon enough. The weather has been lovely today I took my dog out for a 3 hour walk!

That's the thing with teachers I guess, they're not good soulmate material

Still, getting a Eurovision conversation out of it is a win!!

I'll be back to normal in a couple of days, it was a cortisone injection into the middle of the joint - but the doctor was fit as, if that's any consolation

And I get to go back and see my Italian Stallion Physio - I still don't know whether to bring up Eurovision or Ferrari, can't work out which one would be better!

Most people inherit something like a nice piece of furniture off their mother, I get arthritis

Has anyone seen what's going on in Istanbul? Reports suggest four dead, with the police suppressing the anti-government protesters with tear gas and water cannons.

I've been informed by someone from the city that a man has had his arm cut off by the police and is now being denied ambulance access.

Yeah just seen it on twitter, apparently it started in a park that was being turned into a mall or something and now there are protests all over the city.

It's so sad to see how the ruling AK party is turning the clock back in Turkey.

One thing I've always admired about Turkey is that, for the most part, it is quite a westernised country that hasn't let religion dominate it's politics.

I see they recently passed a ludicrous law banning kissing in public. I would never have imagined the Turks introducing a law like that, even just a few years ago.

Its getting next to no coverage on TRT apparently they are showing singing kids. Could you imagine the BBC doing that during the 2011 riots.

I guess it shows just how much TRT is influenced by the government.

I don't know. They're brilliant at what they do, I just don't enjoy it as much as Gabz or Jack Carroll.

I'm also bored to death of blooming singers on the show:yawn:

Ventriloquist should be through. It's a variety show! 6 of the 10 finalists are singers:yawn:
