Some Turkish Eurovision dude has just written this on Facebook...
Attention! Turkish democracy needs you! After a series of peaceful demonstrations to protect a recreational area in the heart of Istanbul that is scheduled to be demolished for the construction of a shopping centre, Turkish police have attacked the protesters, violently with tear gas and water cannons, pointing them directly to their faces and bodies. Dozens of protesters were injured and the Park access is blocked without any legal basis. The Turkish media, controlled directly by the Government or have business relationships with the Government policies, and present about the incidents. Press agencies, too, have blocked the movement of information. Please share this message to the world is aware of the police state created by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's AKP, which is often regarded as a model for other countries in the Middle East. Turkish democracy awaits your support. Thank you very much! |

So, have Turkey given up on their aspirations to join the European Union then?

I just got back from walking my very naughty dog who had the cheek to wonder into someone's house when I let her off the lead, I don't think I've ever had to say 'sorry' so many times in my life. Not to mention how embarrassing it was.

LMAO! What just happened on Britain's Got Talent?! I thought that was part of the act and they'd decided to go weird!

I think Attraction would be great as a backdrop for a Eurovision performance, even though it would break the 6 limit rule.

![]() Let's get a lady with a big ballad next year, and have five of them in the background doing a tribute to Europe! Wasn't Mika's sand botherer from Got Talent, too?! |

Indeed, in a country where acts are allowed to perform for 8 minutes! ![]() I feel sorry for her, everyone on here seemed to hate Angels (I loved it) but sand woman really got into the performance, she was so sweet singing along to Mika and everything! She went crazy during the voting as well! |

Did anyone watch 'The Returned' on Channel 4? It's an 8 part French drama about the dead coming back to life. I thought it was brilliant, I can't wait for the next episode.
Also the French adverts were a nice touch.

Anyone else watching this Gibraltar thing? Their accents are like slightly Spanish Welsh people!

Since random tidbits of FM's personal lives tend to make it to this thread, I'm going to bring up what happened to me on Saturday.
Now I'm 18, a guy, and just finished first year of uni. Typical standard Saturday night for someone my age, few pints down the pub then onto a club to get absolutely rat arsed. Now we meet this random thirty something lady drinking alone and she ends up coming clubbing with us. I sat and chatted to her in the corner a lot as the dance floor was a bit crowded and also we were all pretty smashed so I didn't want to leave her alone. All my mates are now convinced I pulled this woman. Didn't even happen but I've had so many "I heard about you" texts the last few days. Bit embarrassing really. |

A few months ago actually I was on a night out with my friend and I was chatting and dancing with this woman who I thought looked like Nadia Sawalha...here... http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV...0,214,314_.jpg but my friend then said to all my other friends that it was Nadia Almada from Big Brother! http://www.virginmedia.com/tvradio/b.../img/img_7.jpg So then everyone else slagged me for it! Was so hard to protest against them! I just get them back for something else, its all friendly banter!
