Anger Management – Comedy Central
Charlie Sheen’s new sitcom starts on Comedy Central tonight with a double bill at 9pm.
There are 10 episodes in season one and the ratings have been very good for FX in the US resulting in an order for up to 90 additional episodes over the next few years. |

Pretty good.
if they'd given the TAAHM tin a shake, this could easily have come out. |

Overall, not classic but I enjoyed it. Sheen carried the show to a large extent but he's quite capable.

beginning made me LOL
I will give it a few more episodes.. could be a keeper - definitely more potential than the latest 2 and half mean eps anyway |

It's just Two and A Half Men repackaged with different characters.
Not complaining though, I think it'll grow on me. |

oh dear. well that didn't work for me. the opening scene raised a smile, but the rest of it just wasn't for me - the audience seemed to be laughing at the most inconsequential lines as well.

I quite liked it and will continue watching as new programmes always take a while to get used to. But overall, although it wasn’t as good as the best episodes of Two and a Half Men, it was probably better than the new episodes.
I found myself saying – oh, its so and so from whatever quite a lot too. Linda from Becker, Grace from Grace Under Fire, and obviously Selma Blair. |

Agreed, it wasnt the best sitcom start ever, but it was a good pretty good start. And Sheen really did 'carry' the show, it seems like he is the one star, and the rest (even though I dont think they are) feel like more of a recurring character. The other cast just didnt shine out much. But I suppose when you have a scene with Sheen, then your going to at least a little bit in the shade, maybe that will change on the incoming episodes, but glad I tried it out. And the daughter, she seems redundant at this point, but I suppose it gives him a family tie to another character.

Really didn't find it funny at all, but will stick with it. It's pleasant enough to watch and no one in it annoys me. I cant watch TAHM at all now. Alan is awful, the Kutcher character is hugely annoying and not enough Evelyn.

I did not enjoy it I don't like the fact that you must hear everything to understand it. Probably got something to do with FX making it.

Watched the whole season from the internet, it;s okay and has it's moments but it's no Charlie Sheen and Two & a Half Men though there is an episode where Charlie Sheen's character has a fashion make over where he's where wearing the retro bowling shirt and miami shorts (ala Two & a Half Man) and say's he need a change, very funny, lookout for it, think it's episode 4 or 5.

Its not as funny as 2 1/2 men - but the character set up isn't as good, so not that keen and I really wanted to like it
And I keep watching thinking how much Charlie has aged, which after years of drugs I guess catches up with you... |

I watched the first episode. I didn't really find it funny but anything that means more Selma Blair is on my TV is alright in my book.
Do we know if it's picked up for the other 90 episodes yet? |

Its not a carbon copy of 21/2 men, its actually based on the flim Anger Management which starred Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson, it has nothing to do with his old series at all.
I like it, i thought it was fast paced and funny and will I think evolve more with the characters who are attending the thereby session. It also has amazing support actors as well. I really like Selma Blair and Shawnee Smith was my favorite in Becker. Anger Management has become the most viewed new comedy in the states.... I hate the new 21/2 men anyway and they should have canned it. AM for me is different and it has its moments the fact charlie is starring in it is a bonus lol, he is just funny. I am going to follow this its light entertainment there is little of it on the telly now. |

stop thinking of it as 21/2 men it isnt. It has a completely different story. Why not rent Anger Management with Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson, then perhaps you will get the feel for it more. Its going to be good and there will be lots of new characters with problems that we can follow.

Surely if the ratings tank after, say, 50 episodes they aren’t going to continue making it. Does this deal just mean that it’s contacted to 90 episodes as long as FX want them. A bit like a new musical artist often signs a 5 or 10 album deal but few actually reach that point. |
