Unlikely to be England Cricket matches as these are signed up to 2017, with the option for Sky to extend to 2019. Championship footie is signed up to Sky until 2015.
No chance of Scottish Football, F1 or major golf anytime soon due to long Sky/ESPN deals. So what next for BT? FA Cup contract with ESPN expires at the end of the next season. But otherwise I think you will need to look at overseas domestic football leagues, extreme sports, netball, hockey etc... that kind of thing. I don't think that right now Sky should be too worried about BT's sport channel, but they might be if it is still around in a few years time! |

Here's the list of Sports that Sky has deals for:
Premier League [to 2015-2016] UEFA Champions League [to 2014-15] Football League [to 2014/15] Scottish Premier League [to 2017] Spain's La Liga [to 2015] England & Wales Cricket Board [to 2017] International Cricket Council [to 2015] British and Irish Lions [2013] European Tour and Ryder Cup [to 2018] Rugby Football League [to 2016] NFL [2014] Taken from this webpage Whilst not really sport - WWE is also big on Sky - pulls a lot of viewers. It's got a long running deal but TNA Impact Wresting which is already on Sky/Challenge has a deal running till 2013. Impact should be considered as an option for Vision Sport - will be cheap and provides 2-4hrs content a week. Another option is Scottish Rugby. May be a cost effective deal. |

I think BT will be eyeing up those FA Cup rights - they're up fo grabs relatively soon, they're normally a bit cheaper than the prem rights and it'll give their football coverage a bit more backbone. Plus they'll effectively take ESPN out of the equation at the same time!
