Debrand Galaxy S3

I hate the add-ons that mobile vendors put onto Android.

Is there an easy way to stop all the Samsung rubbish running on the S3, and just use vanilla Android as Google intended?

root and phone and install a custom ROM.

find the Galaxy S3 subforums on XDA Developers and you will find everything you need to know

You do not need to root to De brand, just download the UK unbranded firmware and flash via Odin. You can find everything you need to know here...

That is just for unbranded roms, the OP wants a vanilla rom with no Samsung apps etc. Every stock unbranded rom will have Samsung apps. The link is effectively to everything Samsung.

OP you will have to go down the custom rom route if you want as close to vanilla as you can get. Go to XDA but to the original android development section.

Look for any CM10 JB AOSP or Kang AOKP rom on the S3 section of XDA. Dont worry you'll be familiar with the acronyms in no time.

If I was to put jelly bean on this way would I need to unbrand it first?
