There will be a Lotus intro to set the tone for the whole record

The lead single, called 'Your Body' will be released on Friday!! Just 2 days to go!

The music video will also be released very soon and we'll get a sneak peek on Monday on 'The Voice' US

I love XTina's intros. She does them best. Bionic never had one but the intro for Stripped in particular is my favourite of any album.

Quite hyped for Lotus.

Christina also gave the fans some information about the direction and the sound of the new album.

There are some beautiful personal ballads on this album. I wouldn't do a record without them.

[My inspiration for this album is] self expression and freedom. The album represents a rebirth for me.

Conceptually, I didn't target one particular sound/genre. I made that feel good.

IKR! One of the best intros of all time! I loved the interludes on 'B2B' as well. I hope 'Lotus' includes some interludes as well to spice things up and make the album cohesive. And obviously I don't want her to do the typical 11-track album!

I hope they give us a teaser of 'Your Body' tomorrow. Just 20 seconds so that we'll know what changes they've made since the demo leaked. Maybe the tempo, the production and the vocals will be different on the final version, although I think the song works amazingly well as it is

and i love that it will be about self expression and freedom Sounds like it will make for a big statement album....like Stripped 10 years later kinda vibe im getting!

I love that the cover art is very symbolic too...like i said in the Madonna AT and the Christina AT She has embodied Madonna-1990 "Blonde Ambition/Express Yourself" (i think the photoshoot for Rolling Stone to promoe the BA Tour) which is of course....self-expression and a massive influence on Christina! She also has the "genie vibes" with the pinks and lightness like where she has come from/made her debut....and also she is in a very Stripped Era pose also which i love and is a cheeky ode back...also she has kept the signature peroxide blonde look too....here i am...XTINA!!!

And this Friday too??? i honestly hope she garners WW. airplay...i hope that she does on Radio 1 etc too...cannot wait to hear it!

Self expression, Freedom embodiment of ones self good ideas and themes for an album and after Bionic era and all that happened pretty apt to will be interesting to see what the album sounds like Electro, Old school like stripped or something entirely different and as we know Xtina never does the same thing twice.

She's stepping her game up with her visuals and the cover alone proves it! I'm really excited too! The confessions of a girl vs. the confessions of a woman. 'Your Body' has been giving me classy version of 'Dirrty' and mature version of 'Get Mine Get Yours' since the very beginning, so maybe in a way 'Lotus' is indeed 'Stripped' 2.0.

Can't wait for the video. This will probably give us a better understanding of what the new era is all about

I think it's going to be anthemic pop (not much electro/ dub/ d 'n' b etc) with playful, cheeky lyrics, but also a lot of ballads too. There can't be a Christina album without the powerhouse ballads. I'm looking forward to the titles. No matter how many pop gems she can put on an album, it's always the ballads that make it cohesive and unique, so I hope they're top notch!

Yeah its like odes to her personal influences, her personal past AND her own retrospective of when she debuted and when she made her mark all in one single cover....it is pretty fantastic and it looks delicious!

Definitely Micahel i see her asserting herself this time perhaps after Bionic and what she wanted not being allowed per say this her behind the wheel on top form with a top notch album. And i love the cohesion in her work the overriding ideas and sounds amking up a full album only albums i haven't enjoyed her debut and BTB two discs never worked for me. But i am really interested and have genuinely no idea how this will sound and its really exciting and suspense is mounting

I happen to detest the idea of "2.0" (and the pressure the fans put on out favorite artists to create them sometimes ), but with Christina, it just feels right. 'Stripped' was such a monumental moment in her career that repeating it with the same energy, yet different sounds and a brand new point of view seems to be perfect!

As far as the second single goes, it's rumoured to be a big powerhouse ballad which will also be released in the form of a mid-tempo remix. I don't know if it's true yet, but I think it's possible. It would follow suit with 'Beautiful', 'Hurt' and the underrated 'YLM'. She always releases ballads as the second single. I thought the album was going to be out in early 2013 though. I'm not sure she has any time to release the second single before the album, but she could squeeze it in and perform both songs at the AMA's!

I'm with you i hate fans repeating but it makes sense for me BTb great album but after stripped was less personal and didn't have the spark that made it such a momentous album. But Lotus as a successor to it it fits like the period before stripped and eveything post lotus the voice getting back on top this personal freedom of expression vibe just works just hope it sounds good.
And love a Christina Ballad always a great follow up to what is usually an additive catchy hard hittin pop song

Agreed. She needs a ballad to be released before Christmas. That would be perfect. And with her voice being more powerful now than it's been for the past 4 years (as showcased in her 'Start Me Up' performance at the premiere of 'The Voice'), it's pretty much guaranteed that the ballads will be stunning for this album!

That said, I hope that she re-recorded her vocals for the final version of 'YB'. I love the demo, but I know she can do much better vocally, especially after the bridge! I would like a more epic version of "I think you already know my naaaaaaaaaaame"
