Maybe it should have been the iPhone 4G?

iPhone's have had their day now I think, before apple could get away with a lot but since android phones have caught up they have nowhere to go.

I can't see another really exciting announcement even again. Android and the hardware is as good if not better.

The 3GS was a sped-up version of the 3G, that made sense.
The 4 was the 4th model of iPhone announced, that made sense.
The 4S was a sped-up version of the 4, that made sense.
The 5 is the 6th model of iPhone announced, explain how that makes sense?”

The 4S was based on the iPhone 4 and was not a full new model. So iPhone 5 it is - not sure what the problem is - it's just a name.

Just don't look into the model names of Palm Pilots - it may blow your mind - they had the original, II and III and then went straight to V with no IV - they were wild times

All pretty much the same these days – no vast differences…just go with which OS you prefer to use – Windows Phone 8 - nice

The Lumia 920 looks amazing. Shame it's keynote lacked the razzmatazz Jobs managed to instill.

To be honest it looks a bit too similar to the 800 and 900 - don't think Jobs was there either

It looks really nice, this BBC presenter said he went out on the streets of New York and found it very difficult to find anyone who ever had a Nokia.

He probably would have had more luck if he'd said nooo-kia like the yanks say it!

Yeah but Im not just talking about aesthetics. The specs are terrific.

Jobs could make a lump of camel shit look like it could cure world poverty. He was that good, or else the attendees at the keynote merely swallowed anything he said.

Should be a nice device my Lumia 800 was lovely – but got burnt with that one and the lack of a Windows 8 update…but nevermind.

Heres hoping Win Phone 8 will allow for future hardware expansion then. Dual to quad etc etc without radical revamps in the os.

This is my personal list of what Apple could have selected from to keep its customers happy

NFC
Fingerprint unlock
Wireless charging
3D Camera & Display
FM Radio

Please keep this thread on message. Theres more than enough threads to cover the Android v Apple arguments already. Thanks”

If they were going to change the connector to one that is the same size as a microUSB, they could have made a lot of people happy and used a microUSB.

Apple should have announced

Customizable screens & ringtones with a couple of simple clicks
Drag n Drop through Windows without the need of Itunes
Full Bluetooth communication to non Apple handsets
Allowance of Apps that are not on itunes.

But we all know that'll never happen.

What Apple should have announced?
An update to the Mac Mini, I have a wad of cash burning a hole in my pocket but the current model was released well over a year ago so I'm waiting until the next refresh.
