I wonder how come Gene Simmons (who isn't really the lead singer of Kiss) is so far up the list and yet Paul Stanley isn't on it at all. In Kiss' early days the profits were all divided up equally among the band members and even since the original line up split Paul has written more of the songs than Gene including the hits Crazy Crazy Nights and Forever.

I'm also wondering how come no one from Led Zeppelin is on that list. Has Robert Plant blown all his dosh despite having sold over 300 million records?

Nonsense list. No way is Rod Stewart worth more than Springsteen, for instance.

i presume gene has the rights to all the merch and wrote more tracks, as that's where the money comes from

likewise plant will share royalties with jimmy. plus zep stopped in the 70s after only about 10 years, the other acts have mostly been going 20-30 or more years. the post zep stuff wasn't exactly huge. a solo album would sell about 5% of a zep release probably. he'll get a few more quid from the new dvd though

why not? he's been going for longer, his horrible covers albums sold piles, and covers of his songs have probably been more succesful than covers of the boss. bruce prolly gives more money to his band members etc too. shares the wealth better

Baby he's a rich man, baby he's a rich man, baby he's a rich man too! He keeps all his money in a big brown bag inside a zoo! What a thing to do! (Yes I know it's a Lennon song but I wanted to say that!)

I do think that list is a little flawed, Toby Keith is worth over 85m and he isnt on it.

according to the site that made the list, he's only worth $80m, so on a like for like basis from the same calculations and site he's not in the top 20
