Logitech remote
I bought a Logitech universal remote, and I have to register and download software for it. It needs software on the PC to setup the remote as it is a fancy thing, no entering codes and trial and error.
Anyway when I got to the web site it would not let me register and have the software because it needs to download Silverlight. It could not download Silverlight because it was already installed on my PC. So I left, uninstalled Silverlight, and tried again after a reboot. This time it downloaded and installed Silverlight, but still it would not allow me to register and have software, still saying that I need to download and install Silverlight. OK I can not believe that the web site has a bug but I can not think what I did wrong. I wonder if anyone else has bought one of these and successfully got through the registration and could give me a tip? |

Logitec Harmony support forum. This issue has been going on for almost a year it seems: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Remote...ns/td-p/717080
The fix is to do with a corrupted registry key relating to MSI installer. Scroll down the thread linked above to find out how to fix it. |
