Dyeing mid brown hair carmel?
Hi,
I've got mid brown hair..I usually dye it a permanent dark brown but I find it fades down pretty quickly! I'm now looking to dye it a caramel colour. Can any recommend any good at home hair dyes...I'm not sure whether I'll need to go to a salon because I don't want to end up going orange but as I don't want my hair blonde I'm not sure whether caramel will be easy for me to do myself?! |

For the first time you go a lighter shade, I'd go to the hairdressers. Going darker its harder to mess up, going lighter causes problems.
When you're at the hairdressers, ask what the best colour is to maintain the upkeep of it. My hairdresser does this for me - effectively we take it in turns to dye my hair. |

You're definitely going to have to go to the hairdressers if you want your hair lighter, and that style you're describing, that ombre type look is better done professionally. You'll need to get your hair stripped, and then you can choose what shade you want. I'm getting my mids and ends a caramel colour too next week, it's a good look!

If you find one can you let me know? I've been using John Frieda's Light golden brown foam but it's much darker than on the box. it's nice and leaves your hair really shiny but it's darekr than expected.
