I think this clip shows how rude Britney Spears is as a judge. I mean yes the guy couldn't sing for toffee, but at least show a little respect and thank him for being a fan and bringing her flowers. She just stared at him like he had three heads.

Its a shame as I couldn't wait to see her as a judge, I've grown up with Britney in the charts, but she has seriously lost her spark.
Did she lose her personality too when she shaved her hair off? I seriously don't think she is all "there".

Does anyone else think she looks completely dead in the eyes? I never really took much notice of the "dead behind the eyes" phrase until I watched her last night. It's like there's nobody home. Or that she's highly medicated. It's quite freaky looking at her now.

Regardless, the guy must've freaked her out .... I'm sure she's dealt with a lot of crazy fans in past, so she probably doesn't feel comfortable letting her guard down. Can't blame her.

Yes, there is no spark in her eyes. She looks tired and just.... not there!!She just comes across as totally out of place.

I think it was a wrong choice to take her onboard as she is so unstable. But hey, I guess anything goes when there is competition of viewers. Simon is totally using her "status" for his own benefit....

And also about the rudness, I think she just tries TOO HARD to be a memorable and good judge. As if being mean means good....

I miss Paula and her real joy when good performers were on stage.

I was actually surprised by how like, present she was. Idk, from that documentary she did a few years back to now seems like an almost entirely different person - she seemed so childlike there, while she's so much more 'there' now.

I watched it in ireland last night and IMO britney was fabulous- honest and engaging and was really good at judging

demi on the other hand was ok but kept using the phrase "yo're so cute" and ended up crying at at the usual contestant who was bullied in school

There are a lot of weird people out there (and yes this fan of her was one of them), but she should have at least shown some respect. I don't think she handled him right.

Because he tried to be nice to her.
He was her fan and brought flowers and stated how much he loves her and is a big fan.

I thought her face was more of shock....I mean he walked on stage screaming 'HEYYY BRITNEYYYY' and just generally acted creepily on stage towards her, murdering her song etc, so I would never have expected her to be all smiles to him....he was weird and obsessed with her, and Britney has probably had past experiences with those kinds of fans and kept her distance...

He was wasting her time and the other judges. If you're a Britney fan, go to her concerts and buy her albums. Don't go on a talent show for the sole reason of meeting her and then make a complete mockery of her song.

Also, this is one little faux pas on Britney's side of things. After all she has been through in her life, she has become extremely sheltered by her team to the point where I doubt she or anyone in her position would know exactly how to react to every person.

Also, if there's anything people always say about Britney it's how humble she is and how awkward she feels when receiving compliments. In her recent Elle interview Simon said that he was raving about one of the songs she had written and she became very quiet and shy and it was making her uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, media outlets have all praised Britney's performance on the show. It's not fair to judge her so harshly on this one video. Why not use the video of Don Phillips auditioning and show how perfectly and politely she managed to handle that situation.
