Any Bananarama fans?
They are my fave girlband ever.
They have released some amazing albums & singles my fave ones being Wow & Pop Life. Pop Life in particular (which was their only album released fully with second member Jacquie) still sounds really modern today imo I liked the direction they went in with that album, shame they didn't continue with it. Fave single? possibly Cruel Summer |

Massive fan! Preacher Man is great as is Long Train Running.
For sheer simplicity and brilliance, my favourite is Love, Thruth & Honesty |

Thankyou Blastoff.
It just goes to show you that because a song was not a big hit, it can still be smashing. |

I really like them. I'm not a massive fan but i do own one of their greatest hits collections
One of my favourite songs is Movin' On. I want to say this also falls into the 'lesser known songs' list? |

Love, Truth & Honesty is a fantastic 'pop' song, with Move in my Direction a very close second IMO.

Bananarama is definitely my number one girl group ever. Have loved them since I can remember.
My Fave albums are Pop Life and True Confessions. Pop Life especially has a few great haunting tracks - What colour r the skies where u live, Is your love strong enough, I can't let you go. The album was a great departure from their other stuff. Definitely Cruel Summer as my number one single! Glad to see other Banana fans on here

Yes I love Banarama too
They were the best British girl group! I like their early stuff the best 'Cruel Summer', 'Robert De Niro's Waiting' and 'Shy boy'. Fantasitc pop songs.I also loved their collaborations with 'Fun boy three' which seem to be forgotten. It Ain't What You Do Really Saying Something |

Do Not Disturb from 1985 is one of my (myriad) favourite 80s tunes, but sadly it's long-forgotten.
Trick Of The Night is very under-rated - came between Venus and Love In The First Degree, a slower and more sophisticated song with no camp, but still a driving beat and enigmatic melody. I Want You Back is my favourite of the SAW top 10 hits, although I Heard A Rumour has a breezily 'continental' edge to hit that doesn't sound quite as generic as that era's push-button production. Out of the oldies my favourite's Hey Hey Goodbye. |

Always liked Bananarama but i didnt enjoy the last couple of singles they released. In the day i loved the pop life album and its such a shame it wasnt more successful, my fave singles of them are I want you back, love truth and honesty, help and love in the first degree, movin on was also great, last thing on my mind was also great, the steps version wasnt too dissimilar but managed to be far more successful, i also enjoyed bananarama's cover of more more more.

Loved them until their Stock Aitken & Waterman phase, which just made them sound generic.
