I have just become an owner of a smart TV (Samsung) and got to admit Im a bit dissapointed I bought it as it said internet acces ect but it ir very restricted they sel it as a computer but its not. It is very limited in what you can access so I have just gone back to using the TV fed from my mac waste of time spending extra money for a not so smart tv
I'd prefer to use a usb computer on it rather than waste the TVs resources on so called 'smart' TV. |

But, if you want to watch television on your television, then the Samsung Smart TV isn't actually so bad. You have apps for BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport, ITV Player, Demand5, Netflix, Lovefilm, Crackle, Blinkbox and the list goes on. Possibly the only main app missing is 4oD and that is supposed to come this year. I understand your disappointment, especially if the people in the shop promised you the earth, but you do actually have a television with great television potential, and to be honest, more than any other model out there at the moment. |

The itv player on my samsung is pants, freezes and what does play is poor quality - but I can get decent streamed content on the internet browser. It takes time to get set up but that's more down to using the remote to navigate the screen.
