Eating out in London...
hi,
i'm off to london for a weekend break in november, i've been a few times and have tried a fair few restaurants, but was after some recommendations from those that maybe live there or have visited. we are staying in the bayswater area, we always stay here and have tried beach blanket babylon in notting hill, this was a few years ago and we really enjoyed it, but i been looking at reviews and it looks like it's somewhere to definitely avoid now. can anyone confirm this? any suggestions for restaurants in notting hill, bayswater, around soho/chinatown, near to south bank, covent garden, or even any areas as long as they are fairly central would be appreciated. budget wise we are looking around £50 per person maximum (not including drinks) |

You might get lunch at The Ledbury for that (Notting Hill). One of, if not the, best restaurants in London.

OP you have pretty much suggested you are happy to visit anywhere in central London., and there are loads of great places to eat there.
Is there any specific thought of food you would like to eat, also do you want something formal or more informal? |

Andrew Edmunds in Soho is nice and easily fits in your budget. I wouldn't say its formal but its a nice place for a couple to have dinner. Likewise the Giaconda Dining Room which is near Tottenham Court Road tube station.
In terms of Chinese food, Chinatown has got a fair bit better over the last few years. This might help: http://www.timeout.com/london/featur...t-in-chinatown http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sponsored...staurants.html http://londonist.com/2011/02/top-10-chinatown-eats.php |
