Hmm yeah you're probably right there.
Do we think that Cheryl will find out what Pa did to Brendan?
I think she will in the end, she'll have to, otherwise what would be the point of him coming in?

This is obviously going to help Brendan change and by admitting it to Cheryl and standing up to his father he might just begin to change for the better.

It doesn't. I think mojo is saying that it implies that we saw his room.
Oooh okay...

Yeah, I think Cheryl will think Pa is fantastic and Brendan will keep his secret to himself.

Spoiler
Oh dear.

I bloody hope it wasn't a sign.

Poor little Brendan.

If it was a sexual assault on him as a child, then I think it wasn't Pa that carried it out. It's partly that I think Brendan would have done everything in his power to get Cheryl away from him and out of potential danger, and from what we know, she has a good relationship with her dad so it doesn't seem as if she grew up away from him. Plus, although Brendan was wound up when it was mentioned once that Declan was seeing his grandad, he didn't react as he would if it had been Pa who had abused him.

I think it's more likely that after it happened, whatever it was, Pa blamed him, maybe punished him, and began undermining him about not standing up for himself or whatever (hence the sparring) and perhaps even made him keep it secret so Brendan never got any understanding of it as a crime for which he wasn't to blame in any way.

A couple of people said something like this yesterday.

I think he will at the beginning, but I don't think he's keep it for the whole time Pa's there, where's the drama in that?

I hope he at least tells Ste if he doesn't tell Cheryl

ETA: I'll be a bit annoyed if this isn't actually true now though, it's an absolutely brilliant story for Emmett and co to be given and it would be so much better than any of the gangster, bad boy stuff from the past year.

Not for a good while I shouldn't think, no. All hints point to her being a daddy's girl really.
I think she will in the end, she'll have to, otherwise what would be the point of him coming in?

I think someone already said this, not sure who though, but when Cheryl does find out I imagine she's going to refuse to believe it, but in the end I'm really hoping she disowns Pa.
I just really want post-later now and for Pa to come into the show.

Yeah I think she probably won't believe him in the beginning, which is going to be terribly upsetting, but no daughter is going to want to believe her dad is capable of beating a child and letting him be raped, if that does happen.

Yes, this is exactly what route I think they may be going. It just seems so incredibly like to me now, I think.

Right down to Pa not making him feel like a man, as you say. Or worse, blaming him and telling him he should have stopped it or something.

I think he will at the beginning, but I don't think he's keep it for the whole time Pa's there, where's the drama in that?

I suppose he's kept it bottled up for years, but given the state he's in post-Later, it must come out sooner or later.

I really don't think they'd have Walker rape him, Ayla.

God, I hope not anyway.

I very much doubt it, me.

Especially now we're led to believe he's faking being gay.

I really don't think they will. I think it'll be completely consensual.

I really don't think so. It's being in that house and going into that room that makes them memories come back to him, I don't think it will have anything to do with Walker, personally.

If they didn't go down that route i wonder what it could be cause obviously it's something to do with Pa and that house. Maybe we see one of those occasions where his dad got him out to bed to fight and the attacks quite brutal like it leaves him unconsious or something. But then unless Pa's in laters and we don't know we might just see a beaten up little Brendan.

Okay I'll shh I don't really think it'll happen but we speculated before and I wondered where people stood on the issue now.

One thing I found very interesting from Emmett's interview was how final this is for Brendan and Walker. Surely he must find out about Lynsey too? And if Walker doesn't die, maybe he skulks around the village causing trouble?

It's a compliment

Someone tweeted Kieron saying he was arrested last night for being drunk and racially abusing a policeman. Kieron replied asking them to explain, as he was at home in bed.

Their response?

LOL.

Jesus.
What's Kieron talking about, that sounds just like him

Some people!

BIB: If Walker doesn't die I think they'll more than likely save him for Brendans departure from HO.

I am certain he doesn't return to the village, whether he lives or dies I keep changing my mind
