Pasha is cute but the new hairstyle doesn't suit him. Kimberley is lucky she got him. He helped Chelsea improve so much last year.

I'd love to see Kimberley and Pasha win this year. The only downside to that is that he might get a no-hoper next year. I think James and Denise will give them a run for their money though.

I can understand Pasha wanting a change of image but that shaved head hairstyle just doesn't suit him. It's pretty dated and 'me-too'. I'm disappointed he can't come up with something unique.

I think Denise and James will suffer the same fate as Zoe and Lisa, loved by the judges but not so liked by the public,no doubt she will be high on the leader board for the first few weeks,but others will catch and overtake by the end.

Lets live in the now and let next year take care of itself, I hope Pasha does go for a new hair do, something that will suit him a bit better, he has three weeks to let it grow out a bit.

Its hard to deny that the top half of Kimberley also looks amazing after their first training session in the photo that Kimberly tweeted.

Should Kimberley be good and do well, gving Pasha no-hoper next year is probably the best thing. Look at the negativity there was towards Artem & Aliona last year for having potential ringers after ringers. I'd hate to see Paha subjected to the same downfall.

Plus, I think he's one of those that would do well even with a no-hoper. He seems to know what works for his celebs and gets the best of them. If Kimberley does well, give him a no-hoper next year, let Robin, Karen, Ola and the others due another shot have the contenders and, eventually, the pros could all be on even footing enough to not facea backlash for being given a contender.


I think Kimberley/Pasha and Denise/James are the ones I'm most lookng forward to seeing. Hopefully, they'll all be capable of taking on the challenge.

Kimberley is on with Alan Carr on Channel 4 again now.

I think Kimberley has started in the best possible position - good, but not the best according to the judges' marks. She's impressed the viewers from the beginning but has plenty of wriggle room for improvement and development. She already has a fanbase - Girls Aloud fans are still very vocal even though the band has been on hiatus so long, and they're about to release a single for Children in Need. And I think she and Pasha already have a sweet relationship.

A pairing I wanted to happen and they are getting along very well. Barring injury, I cant see them not making the final. They seem to have everything - so much so that their biggest issue is Pasha's hair IMO.

And I see Girls Aloud are just about to announce their reunion. That won't hurt her chances in the public vote.

How do you let a guy know tactfully?

He shaved the sides again before the show, so on Thursday maybe Kimberley could compliment him on how nice his hair looks.

That would be a good start. To which we could add:

a) DS thread in capitals, a la Terry. Impasherly speaking, is Pasha SAMSON or a Fashion VICTIM? Will his new stylish mop spell STRICTLY DOOM for last year's Gentleman of dance or is it just A CLOSE SHAVE?

b) persistent twitter campaign

c) anyone going to the show wears cruelly parodic bathing caps

d) phone ITT till they give in and let us harangue him. Ferfitchkin who used to post on this board is a Russian speaker, so we could get in some good swear words for emphasis

e) plane trailing banner

f) give false description to police for a mugging until he's forced to change from the Identikit image

Oh, I dunno. There has to be a way. Pasha, Pasha, last year's hair was luvverly. This year's hair is your downfall.

Or ask him why he has a merkin on his head, and Pasha would probably have to go and look it up.

I think this is the single best way to get through to him how absolutely he has transgressed. Poor lad.

Pasha's hair makes me cringe, especially the way the top fans out during the performance and starts to flop over at the sides, distracting you from Kimberley's dancing. I guess it's the shaved sides that are too extreme and it wouldn't take much to soften the whole look (even though it would leave him looking like Billy Fury's love child.) The infuriating thing is that in the training VT he looks OK. I have a feeling that it may put off voters who aren't part of his and Kimberley's fanbase. Kimberley was pretty obviously chosen especially for him to make a big impact this year and I fear he may blow it through his own stubbornness. Maybe a few complaints on the BBC Strictly Blog might get through to him.
