I genuinely get scared for her when thinking about it

I think quality will drop completely and they'll be collaborations with the likes of David 'I'll ruin every inch of your credibility' Guetta and Flo 'Ill feature on anything with a pulse' Rida

I hope she sticks to her own sound

Dp you realy think Adele is going to make a dance album? LMAO

Now on to a serious note. She's never gonna top it, just like many other artists will never top their albums.

She's not ging to change sound, she intends to write happy songs also (I'm pretty sure i read that somewhere)

why would you think that?

she hasn't done a single collaboration in two albums which have sold a few copies, would be bizarre to do so now.

Collab with David Guetta and Flo Rida??? I think there would be more chance of Adele eating her own foot. What a silly thread. Fact is, as she herself has said A LOT, there's no way she will 'top' '21', certainly not in sales. So she won't try. So the new album will be what she wants to put out as opposed to what XL/Columbia's accountant/s want her to put out. It will therefore 'only' sell 12 million and therefore be labelled a flop by some

I'm with kony on this. But I have also high hopes, that before she put out a regular album, she does make an album with her nursery rhymes.

She is going to flop badly I think it will be a really horrific experience for her.

Adele won't flop with her next album, it won't sell as much as 21 but it'll still be huge, then she'll probably dwindle pretty much like Dido.

I'm assuming you've never won anything on the lottery? Here's a sobering fact - she could sell 70% less with the follow up and STILL be the biggest seller that year....

It will be hard to top but Adele will have access to all the best songwriters and producers due to her success and she is great at songwriting herself too so se should be able to get decent material.

She certainly won't write it solely herself... she's useless as a songwriter on her own.

not really the measure of their quality, even less so as 2 of them weren't singles. Try another angle of attack.

You never know. She may deliver another corker.

In her own time.

Rihanna, cash cow, please take note

And there's a reason why they were not singles.

She is expecting a baby now so doubt she will be worrying about it for at least another 5 years. And knowing how powerful motherhood can be she may not even bother with another album full stop.

HG is the only decent song she's written on her own imo and that was years ago now. Not really a great track record but that's not to say she isn't capable of doing it and maybe she'll prove it more in future.

She won't top the sales of 21 with her next album but she could easily top it musically which is, after all, the most important thing for most of us.

She doesnt need to "Top It" in terms of sales!

Has any of the OP fav artist topped their biggest selling album? Probably not but they may have had a more crittically acclaimed one.

The only ones that are concerned about her "topping" 21 in terms of sales are those that dont like her.

She has made a song that will be remembered for years....even decades!!!!!

that line..."never mind i'll find someone like you"..

not in mine, but that's neither here nor there

But I agree, there's still room for improvement musically, so it could be topped in that sense, which as you say is what counts

She really isn't important enough for me to panic either way All I am saying is motherhood is a powerful thing and the fact she is a multi millionaire she may decide that working would interfere with her enjoyment of seeing her baby grow up. And of course there have been lots of artists who have struggled to get back into the music business after a long stint out of it. She may well continue and bring out another album but I would not be surprised in the least if she calls it a day now.

Most likely she'll never top it sale wise, though it'll most likely go on to sell 10mil worldwide. which is still very good. Hell even 5mil is pretty good.

Though she is coming from somewhere pretty high and rarely seen these days.

For someone with her talent it would be a shame to waste it and forget about music full stop. Of course wanting to see her kid grow up. But surely you can work round it. Less gigs etc. She won't top what she had in her last album.

But she could make a new album and sell a lot still and it has to be like her last 2, I don't see how she would end up working with David Guetta and Flo Rida. That's not her
