Said Len.

Have you heard of all of them. There are two who I haven't heard of before - the celebrity interviewer bloke and the tall actor.

But otherwise it is better than last year and the year before's shows where I had hardly heard of anyone.

Knew of them all. Just from a quick check on wiki i would have known all of the last few series as well

I knew them all, which was surprising.

I knew them all too which I believe is a first for me.

That tall black actor was in a James Bond film and he was in Prime Suspect and a few other dramas. I only recognised him because of his distinct voice.

There's already a three page thread on this subject, and yes, I've heard of all of them.

I hadn't heard of Dani Harmer or Johnny Ball - which I found weird considering they're the youngest and oldest respectively so I should have heard of at least one

I'd heard of them all bar Johnny Ball.

Only heard of 8 this year, I'm getting worse

I knew all the girls but I wasn't familiar with any of the boys apart from Sid Owen, I'm surprised that people are saying this is the strongest line up ever as for me the last 2 were far superior

Like Len, it's the first time I've heard of all of them.

I mean, I've watched Tracy Beaker before and I'm sure I knew somewhere in the back of my mind that the actress' name was Dani Harmer.

And I've definitely heard the name Colin Salmon and watched the Bond films and Doctor Who episodes he was in.

The rest - yes, both face and name instantly recognizable.

I assume Len's heard of Dani because his grandkids watch Tracy Beaker? I'm sure he wasn't telling porkies.

They've both been in Children's TV. One has been in childrens TV from 2002 - 2012 . They other was on children's TV from the 1970s to the 1990s.

Maybe if you were a child between 1990 and 2002 - you would not have heard of either of them?

Never heard of the ones from the girlband and boyband but I have heard of the bands. Westlife and Girls Aloud yes?

The one from Emmerdale - but I've never watched Emmerdale.

I cannot believe people have not heard of Johnny Ball .

Tracey Beaker - I know the books and the TV programme as I have kids the right age. If I'd not been told who she was I'd not have a clue though.

Being an oldster, I knew Jerry Hall (can't believe some people didn't know who she was!) and Johnny Ball from Playschool . Victoria P has been whingeing all over the Daily Fail so I couldn't help but hear of her. I'd heard of Kimberly (again, solely due to the Fail) but wouldn't have recognised her, was surprised to hear her accent. I'd heard of Westlife but not of the individual guy.

I'd never heard of Richard Thingie, Colin Salmon, Louis Wotsit, Dani Harmer, the cricketing chappie since I hate sport and don't watch much TV or films.

At least there was no politician this year! surprised Louise Mensch didn't try and get in there.

Colin Salmon is the only one i've never heard of.
Hello.

I know most of them. Didn't know the one from Emmerdale as being from Emmerdale. Remember her from You've Been Framed!

Don't know what Zoe's dad is famous for?

I know most of them by sight, name or both apart from him.

Surprised at those who don't know Colin Salmon. He's been in loads of films, admittedly not the lead, plus in various TV dramas.
As for Johnny Ball, as I'm a child of the 70s, he's far more famous to me than his daughter! Johnny is a legend to us oldsters!
As for the rest, I didn't know Richard Arnold or Dani Hamer.
Hello.

I didn't know Colin Salmon until the Doctor Who clip.

The Strictly 2012 line-up is by far the best so far.... I think there's a great variety of celebrities from different fields of entertainment and I've actually heard of all them!

It's gonna be a great series.

Hadn't heard of either of the Olympians before - but given I blocked as much of the Olympics as possibly, that's no shock - and I honestly can't say I'm feeling the love for them based on last night's show, either.

I'd only heard of Dani Harmer through her doing Let's Dance for Sports Relief.

As for Colin Salmon, after he played Dr Moon in Dr Who, there were a few suggestions floating around for him as the next doctor, so I definitely knew who he was!

Well I've heard of all of them except Colin Salmon and tha't only because I don't really watch films especially James Bond type films.

I can't believe people have never heard of Louis Smith, where have you been the last 2 months or indeed 4 years ago when he was the 1st British male for years and years to win an Olympic medal in gymnastics.

Changing the channel every time anything Olympic was mentioned, as I had no interest in watching it.
