So far, have you been impressed by Strictly Come Dancing, and are you hopeful of a good series? I am, I think it might be one of the best yet!

I liked tonights show, three weeks is a long time to wait for the start though.

Why make us wait til october launch the show the week before!

The lineup is beyond mediocre.

The production team have got everything right with this years SCD for me. Darcey and Karen look like fantastic new additions to the show and the pairings are ace. I think it will be a rivetting series and has very well known people too.

I have to say Im finding this very dull so far.

Im not sure if its cos the celebs dont interest me this year, or that Im hearing the same things year in, year out from the presenters/judges/pro's/celebs. Im just starting to see how formulaic it is (stupid really as it always is!) But for some reason I can see the emperor has no clothes on this year...

I will give it a go for at least a couple of weeks...

This could be the best ever Strictly with the line-up this year. However there are new producers so it could go either way.

I think the celebs will be interesting. 3 girls who will definately be able to dance well and after seeing Louis, I think we can say 2 boys. There are a few of the other girls and maybe Colin who could become good dancers.

Karen looks great and Artem looks very happy dancing with her - I dont blame him. Just have to see how well Karen can teach ballroom.

I dont think all of the pairings look ideal dancewise, but maybe there were other factors that influenced the pairings. There are several pairings that I think will be very popular, or very good.

I dont think James and DVO are going to wait around for anyone to catch them dancewise, and I think they are both going to be so happy that the potential fireworks in the relationship might not happen.

Pasha and Kimberley and Vincent and Dani were also very predicted and are pretty much guaranteed to be very good. They both might out-choreograph James, so that will be interesting to see.

I think Nicky might have the potential to be one of the best ever men on the show, so no pressure Karen. I'm wondering if the latin is going to be really hot? Will Nicky byrne the floor? - its probably going that way.

I can't wait for it to start properly. I have strictly fever again!

I went for the 2nd option. I do think its an amazing looking series but Im not sure if Id say its the best one they've ever had. Its not far off though it looks like its going to be really good

I'll tell you when it's over. My crystal ball isn't working.

Looking good, but first impressions aren't everything. We'll see.

If they launched the week before then the celebs would only have 1 week training before their first dance, car crash television maybe but hardly worthwhile.

If they kept the training schedule then dancers and partners would be practicing together two weeks before the launch show, their photos would all all over the tabloids and the internet, everyone knows who is taking part and who their dancing partner is, no secrets left, launch show is a bit of a damp squib with the majority of the audience going "Yeah we know that" after each .

The unknown aspect keeps people talking and speculating, and that is great publicity and extra ratings.

I think it'll be a fab year! The quality of celebs looks really good. But, as another poster pointed out, it's all speculation until we see them out there dancing...
