I know they both left ages ago now, but I wish both of these families had been spared at the time. The writers were incapable of thinking up storylines for them, so why bother introducing them in the first place? They had bags full of potential, and we're only given meaty stuff in their last few months before they all made hasty exits

The Harris? Was that the family in witness protection who ended up with daughter murdering father, mother taking the blame and daughter killing herself ?? If so they were central characters for a period and given a great setnof storylines.

The Mortons.... Oh dear, too many, too soon and no clear direction. Too many of the Mortions were children.

The Harris family were on the show for 3 years (some longer)

Katy's relationship with Martin spurred on a few storylines.

I thought they were a great set with a clear story to tell. I think their arc was perfect.

The Harris family were great! I wish they stayed longer! The Mortons on the other hand, not enough time to develop the characters, left far too quickly. They could've recast Kayleigh and sorted them out.

As others said, the Harris family were very central and I'm not sure there's much more that could have been done with them! They were a very average, working-class family whom life through big, dramatic traumas; I don't think they could have been sustained on a permanent basis continuing to stumble from disaster to disaster.

I do wish the mother (Angela?) had been spared; I think she still could have been a fairly important character now if she hadn't been carted off on a life sentence.

The Harris' were given a good chance I think. They had some big storylines in their short time. The Witness Protection, Katy's relationship with Martin, Tommy's murder, Angela going to prison, Katy's suicide. Angela was my favourite Harris member would be interesting to see her back in the street now some years have past and see how she'd changed.

The Mortons I felt didn't get as much of a chance. I was really pleased when I heard Mickey Starke was joining Corrie as Jerry Morton as I'd always liked the actor in Brookside and The Royal so it was a shame he didn't last long on Corrie. Theresa Morton was a decent enough character too, it was only the Morton brats I didn't care for.

I thought like what always seems to happen these families only ever became good once they were leaving, I thought the Harris's exit was fantastic and actually one of my favourite Corrie storylines, it was quite a big risk to see a daughter kill her own dad and then kill herself but it paid off and was Corrie at its best. I thought the Mortons also got better towards the end especially once Teresa arrived. At the end of the day its the Producers fault if you bring in a family and not have any clear direction for them like the Mortons, I think the Harris's did but there arc was finishing.

I think the Harris's storyline with the father's murder and Katy's suicide and the mum going to jail was real effective, it stayed with me for a while afterwards. There was a scene with either thr mum or daughter watching an old family video and I remember that really touching me, the sense of helplessness....

Bring Back Angela or Craig Harris. Leave the Mortons in the Past.

Corrie can't do big family s like the Mortons!... the show has always been better written for smaller ones
