We have Karen's exit and a wedding between Claire and Ashley in Corrie, Charity and Tom's wedding and Cain's discovery of Andy and Debbie's affair in Emmerdale and the arrival of two new Moons as well as the murder of Paul in Eastenders.

Which soap is everyone most looking forward to this festive season?

EastEnders! EastEnders! EastEnders!

Well obviously, it's my favourite soap but other than this I'm looking forward to see what Kathleen Hutchison has managed to produce from the wreckage Louise Berridge left.

Also, some of what's happening in the square sounds good!

I'm sure it'll be a ratings winner, as ever.

I haven't watched Eastenders in a few months but I'm really looking forward to the Christmas episodes and hopefully seeing the show's restoration!

I have to point out that Charity and Tom’s wedding is a bit of a belated Christmas storyline because it doesn’t occur until the first week of January 2005.

If I were to rank them from first impressions
1) Eastenders
2) Coronation Street
3) Emmerdale

Once we've actually seen them, then we'll be able to rank them officialy.

I'm really looking forward to EastEnders to see Kathleen Hutchisons revitalised storylines. A lot of it really good so I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I think I'm more looking forward to Corrie this year. Karen't Exit sounds fantastic.

I dont' think I'll be watching Emmerdale, as usually Enders and Corrie are what I especially sit down an watch.

I'm looking forward to Corrie the most - seeing Karen's exit. Maybe watch Emmerdale. Try to avoid EastEnders as it's just far too depressing for Christmas.

How can you not watch the soaps on Xmas Day? Its like Xmas Dinner without Trifle! lol

Its not Xmas if you're not enthralled in the misery of Albert Square and the exploding cars and catfights on the Cobbles! lmao

And why don't you watch Emmerdale, will? I'm appalled!

And yes, Charity and Tom's wedding isn't until January and I should also point out that Cain doesn't find out about Andy and Debbie until new year's eve at least, so the actual Emmerdale Christmas won't be that dramatic, but it is supposed to be good and more comedy-based.

I'd love to watch all three Drifter but sometimes I get caught up with my new pressies an I forget to watch half the stuff I was supposed to watch. Enders and Corrie are the two that the whole family watch, we're not really am Emmerdale family at all, me mam is but the rest of us do without it. We'll usually hear an announcement shortly before dinner "Right, Corrie is on at 7:30pm tonight, an then EastEnders will be on after it, remind me to turn it on" Dad will say, or sometimes its left to me to announce the soaps lmao

I'm looking forward to Corrie the most this year and like everyone else, Karen's exit. In Eastenders, the end of Paul sounds like it's going to be another gangster type death  and I'm not looking forward to the arrival of more hardmen type characters like the Moon brothers. This is the route that I didn't want the new producer to go down. But we'll just have to wait and see and hopefully the christmas episodes won't be dominated by the above and Shannis storyline.
