Her audition was a hairline fracture away from cabaret, I hope if she gets anywhere she doesn't get stitched up with song choice, potentially really good.

However, I have and never will find 'hard grans & nans' amusing in the slightest. Thoroughly unpleasant woman, 'May' same name as my nan who was a 'strong' woman, this awful woman put shame to the name of my lovely, dearly departed Nan May.

Tad Harsh? You can just tell that their a very lively family and just seem to have fun. My Nan is similar in a way that she just speaks her mind and laughs along with it! Don't see the problem?

I think they were going for the pensioner with attitude vibe last night. I'd like to see the OTT Nan take on the obnoxious old guy who was on earlier

I prefer sweet cuddly old people personally

How melodramatic . The 'Nan' seemed to be very nice and was just up for a bit of a laugh, seemed like a really nice family in fact.

I fail to see how she was "thouroughly unpleasant", but each to their own.

Same here I thought it was unbelievably rude, if the youngsters did it they would be slammed for their aggressive attitude. She's no different

We didn't need the nan bit. Just put the singers on and get on to the next one. So much rubbish in between.

I thought her audition was frightful. She didn't so much sing as shout her way through most of the song, and was all over the place. All she's good for is nailing a big note, which must come in handy for arguments with that nan.

May was another Edna

I think I enjoyed Lorraine's audition more though - this one was too belty/loud

There's only one thing worse than an overbearing 'in your face', 'make it all about me' Mum, and that's an overbearing 'in your face', 'make it all about me' Nan.

I mis-read the title a first and saw it as 'hard nun'...now THAT would have been an audition and a half...

Tammy was alright but the hard nan is one of the worst people of all time.

Agree with this. Plus the audition was horrible. It was like watching a Jane MacDonald impersonator. Had I been a judge, think the nan would have been making hand gestures in my direction as I'd have had nothing positve to say about that end of the pier performance

Exactly my point, but she gets away with it because of her age and for being 'lively' pfffft!!!

thought the Nan was hilarious... and i liked Tammy.. she was better than some of the overs that made top 12!!! think with the right training she could have gone close to JH....
but as dermot says 'im a nan-fan'
