Scherzinger faces axe

Shaking it up for Series 10, apparently.

She's had hardly any airtime at all so far this series so it seems more than a bit unfair to single her out for the failings of the show.

Question is if this turns out to be true who will be her replacement?

Nicole was possibly the worst person they could have gone with. Christ knows why they didn't go for Geri.

That's completely ridiculous, she's barely been in it and from what we have seen of her she's been pretty well received

I think Mel B has definitely had the most prominence outside of the three returnees, and to be honest I think it's really worked. I don't see how they watched back this footage, started editing it together and didn't see how well that line-up worked. I can only assume that it was Mel's own choice not to be a permanent addition.

As you say, that isn't Nichole's fault. She's had hardly any coverage whatsoever, which is pretty poor considering she's the one who's sticking around.

Mel was already doing the Australian X Factor so she couldn't have done it even if she wanted to.

it is too premature for nicole to be put forward for the axe, but no doubt changes will be made if the viewing figures continue to dwindle. the judging panel doesn't work, but it is hardly nicole`s fault at this early stage.

Cowell should get down on his knees and BEG Dannii to come back. For all the fuss the Daily Fail and media made over St Cheryl of Tweedy Dannii was by far the most popular judge.

This is just a desperate hype story. She only just joined the panel and has been doing well. It's not like she just sat there gormlessly like Cheryl during her short XF USA stint. The problem is, they keep on changing the panel and it's getting a bit annoying. Notice how the ratings were highest during the Simon-Dannii-Louis-Cheryl 2008-2010 time because the judges didn't change. 2011 and 2012 have had too many judges changing and too many guests and it's ruined the chemistry of the panel. If anything, they should be keeping Nicole to maintain some continuity.

Ah, I must have known that at some point cos it sound's familiar. A shame, I've really enjoyed watching her on the panel. She's been a real breath of fresh air to this rather repetitive show.

This has gotta be made up its not the first time I've heard or read that Mel should of been made judge, a little unfair to blame Nicole for ratings she's hardly been on air so far Lol

Louis and Gary need to go, Nicole's no worse than them , or Tulisa and at least she's decorative.

Maybe as it's a singing competition they thought they would go with someone that could actually sing .

This is ridiculous the ratings declining is not because of Nicole, it's because of this crap towie style series which just seems so lacklustre. I've actually enjoyed having Nicole on the panel, her reactions are hilarious and she seems to give some good feedback. She should stay, axe Tulisa who's accolades include number 1 single, and failed sex tape.

Louis is the one that needs to go. Been there for all 9 series and has seriously ruined enough series with all his Irish joke acts.

I'm surprised there are no "Dannii facing the axe" reports even though she's not even in the show

To be honest, I feel like I've hardly even seen Nicole this series. For me, It's all been about Mel B. I remember after the first showing off Mel, they all hated. Now everybody wants her as a permanent judge.

I think the only reason to get views up again would be to have Simon back. I'd love Simon Dannii Cheryl and Louis all back on the same panel. I can't see anything else saving it. Not even a move like Simon bringing in Britney for the US version would save the UK one

I liked Mel B instantly. I love her don't-give-a-shit attitude about telling the auditionees how it is. Having said that, I did think the novelty would have worn off after the first episode, but I just think she's fit in more than any of the other guests and it actually seems like she's the new regular.

It'll take more than replacing judges to fix this show though imo.

I don't think they ever planned to keep her beyond the one year.. she was a long way down their list of potential judges and only got the job because she was better received than Geri Halliwell and their other choices had things they couldn't drop last minute.

Definitely. The novelty of Tulisa had wore off by the time last year had ended. I was already over Gary by the audition stages of last year as well. I just don't think there is chemistry with these judges. At least with the others, they were bouncing of eachother

Simon v Cheryl
Simon v Louis
Simon v Dannii
Louis v Cheryl
Louis v Dannii
Dannii & Cheryl supporting each other on occasions.

There was so much banter with them etc. When Dannii was on maternity leave and they brought in temporary judges I thought wow they should do this every series.. but even that has wore thin.

It sounds fabricated just to get the X Factor in the headlines today. It will probably be denied by an XF 'insider' tomorrow.

I'm waiting for the 'Simon returning to save the show' headline. Or 'Dannii returning to save the show' or 'Sharon ret... ' you get the idea.

I can see a Simon, Sharon, Dannii, Louis line up next year.

Given how this series has gone, it's hard to see how Cowell won't get his way this time and be allowed to can Barlow. The only way Barlow survives is if he can try and convince some friends to help him out...

Gary Barlow
Robbie Williams
Cheryl Cole
Mel B/ Sharon Osbourne

But that's a stretch and given how tight ITV have been with the purse strings this year I'm not sure I can see them making the investment.

If Cheryl and Robbie aren't up for it then I think we might see all 4 of the current panel being sacked. If they brought back Sharon then Louis might cling on I guess because they worked well together. I can't see them rebuilding another entirely new panel around Louis.

They will never match the Cheryl-Danni-Simon-Louis panel. I was watching some clips from 2008 on Youtube the other day and the panel mixed with the auditions in the room and great contestants made the show compulsive viewing.
