Jerry will be a lot better than Widdy or Nancy.

We will have to see how it goes. There is a possibility that Jerry may out-one-liner Anton, which could be hard for Anton to take.

I thought Anton and Fern would work better as a comedy duo.

Jerry will possibly do better than than Nancy, but Widdy is in a class of her own.

Well he's been apart of the comic pair more than once on this show so I wouldn't be surpised if Anton had had wished for once that he get someone like Kara one series but, this series, I doubt Jerry will be any worse than Nancy. Nancy didn't really get the show, I think Jerry does.

I think that Jerry will do quite well.

Did anyone hear Jerry talking to Zoe ball on Radio 2 this morning? She sounded genuinely enthusing about her dancing with Anton, sounds like they are getting on really well

Anton's probably had 2 reasonably good celebs.

Lesley Garrett and Laila Rouass.

He got them to 3rd and 4th respectively.

Not entirely sure how much further people were expecting them to go, against the P.R. machines of Chris/Hanna and Chris/Ola, and the superior dancers of Natasha, Ali and Ricky respectively.

Anton has never let anyone down if they've had talent, and has been able to take controversial, not wholly popular characters like Ann and Nancy further in the competition than they otherwise would have done, whilst making them household names at the same time.

Yes, his latin is inferior to most if not all of his fellow pros, but he's still a professional dancer, and was selected as such long before Strictly became about entertainment. He has dance ability, and is not just some foolish middle aged man doing dad dancing as everyone seems to insinuate. But oh well...

He has ballroom dance ability. He doesn't have latin, as we've seen, and unlike other professionals, he hasn't improved.

I disagree, my observations of Anton have always been that his dancing skills are very wide ranging.

It seems that when Jerry runs out of puff, she consoles herself with a fag.

Ok Anton is not my favourite, but I do not understand quite why he receives so much hate from people on these forums? His speciality is ballroom, not Latin. Anton is the only male pro one specialises in ballroom the others specialise in Latin. These people are professional dancers, that means that they have wide ranging dance skills some of them will excel at one form of dance and others will excel…………..well you get what I’m driving at. I find it strange that armchair critics are happy to slag off someone for doing something that they themselves would not be able to do. You need a good mix of “personalities” in your pro dancers; Anton comes across as having a calmer demeanour than someone like Brendan or James who are both quite volatile.
