The problem is of course that the kids have got used to (and like to play) the same old games on the iPad - If I bought another tablet with a different operating system and different games I don't know if they'd play on it.
I have another question, this time about the iPad
If I purchased another one and linked it to the same iTunes account that we already have, I could download all the same apps yeah? What would happen with games that say have levels and you 'save' your progress in the game? Does this get saved on the iPad or on the server of the game - If we picked up the 2nd iPad to play would we be at the same place in the game IYSWIM? Sorry if this is a ridiculous question but I'm trying to wrap my head around how an iPad each for the children would work.
Thanks x”
Yeah just do a restore on your new iPad and it will set it up exactly the same as your original with no effort needed, it will have all the same apps in the same place with your saves intact.
I would like to add that if you play 2 player games which there are loads of, they will be able to play with each another on the iPad, this wont be possible on the nexus.
