I think the 7inch form factor works well for book reading and just usable as a browser. And very light and portable. Best in widescreen like the Nexus as it's usable with 1 hand.
It's also for me personally just about the smallest screen I could actually watch a film on. the 10 inch formats are still good for reading on but make much more usable browsers and photo viewers, espcially if they have a high res screen. I think the 10 inch tablet format ( thats not widescreen ) works best in practice. The 10 inch widescreens are a little ackward to handle imo. I've sold my nexus 7 as it was getting no use since I got a nexus 4 and was given an iPad 4 as a freebie from work, but would still rate this as the best 7 inch tablet around and being a nexus it's a pure android experience so the highest chance of software compatibility, where you will always be getting the latest version when released and isn't bloated with manufacture crapware. |

Not even slightly interesting.
Zero OS crashes on mine, the browser has always been slow from the moment I bought it. Overall response from the device is as good now as the day I bought it. And from what colleagues with them have said, they're all the same as me - no problems. Still by far and away the best tablet on the market. |

Can't see how the views given are any less or more valid than views given on this forum. Of course, one actual difference is the editorial was written by a named individual.

Very little in the way of s/w updates (heck, my apparently unsupported Nokia 808 gets more updates than my Nexus 7) No updated hardware has yet been announced, although there are plenty of rumours of a 1080p screen and some new faster processor (dual core, maybe even intel based?). |

According to Wikipedia, v4.3 was rumoured to be released 10 June 2013. It hasn't happened yet, but I am sure the Nexus 7 will get it as soon as it comes out. |
