I note that there is a similar thread below, but there's only one reply which doesn't really shed any light on the problem.

The EPG is not fully loading and it tends to be STV, Channel 4, 5 etc that are missing. I've done a power cycle, an automatic scan and a manual scan on 27, 24, 42, 45 and 39, clearing out the existing channel lists prior to scanning. However, the problem is still present.

I'm just wondering if there's anything else that I can do? Software is also up to date.

A friend of mine in London reported the same EPG problem to me last night although my 9200 EPG (East Midlands) is fully populated. There is a major retune event on Wednesday that might have something to do with the problem, do a Manual Search then following my instructions and see how it goes.

Ok Les, will do. Thanks for the reply.

My 9300 has been playing up like this for a couple of weeks now. The first 3 or 4 days are fine, then random gaps appear on channels other than BBC1 and BBC2.
I plan to do a Default Setting on Wednesday. Hopefully this will fix it.

Pretty much the same for me. One week when I was checking my recording schedule, it was fine, the next it wasn't. Fingers crossed, a manual re-scan as mentioned by Les will fix it.

What a f**** up.

Who are DMOL?

Gutless, powerless w*nkers.

They should make up their minds what to do, and implement it.

What if government worked the same way?

Hang on...

You are lucky you don't own a 3View PVR..... since changes were made on 22 August 2012 ALL 3View boxes lockup if the aerial is connected !!

Enough said on a non 3View area .........

I have a 9300 downstairs and a 9200 upstairs and neither has any listing beyond a comewhat patchy Saturday.

I'm mid DSO living in the Tyne Tees Area from Pontop Pike. This does seem to have been a lot worse since the DSO1 retune.

Is anyone else still getting issues with the EPG not populating on their Humax machines? The EPG on other TVs seems to be fine at 7 or 8 days...

I've tried switching off, leaving on BBC1 etc but makes little difference

Have you tried manually tuning?

Well, I've done the manual re-scan and surprise surprise, no difference, patchy population of the EPG. I looked about 5 - 10 minutes ago and a few days from now there were gaps in Channel 4, 5 and STV. I've just looked again about a minute ago and they're now filled in. Things still ain't right though. It makes me wonder when this will be sorted out. Is it just a Humax issue or is it affecting other makes?

The latest firmware caches the epg to the hdd which takes a lot longer initially, subsequent updates once the cache is established should be much faster. Try it for a few days to see how you get on.

I am in the tyne tees area receiving from bilsdale and since the start of the DSO (2 weeks ago) I have had this problem of a holey epg. I also seem to be having a problem with it not picking up remote key presses especially the left, right, up and down.

I did a full rescan this morning and it hasn't improved yet.

The funny thing is that the epg for 7 days hence can be present whilst tuned to that channel but then it disappears when tuned to another channel.

That is a symptom of receiving from two (or more) transmitters, have you followed my Manual Search instructions linked in post #2?

Following my earlier post, yesterday I completed DSO2.

I manually tuned the correct 5 frequencies for Pontop Pike so get no dual transmitter or chaneels in the 800s.

I have left both by 9200 and 9300 on BBC1 for hours but still have an EPG which is only fully poulated for 2 days and then very sparse after that.

Given the other posts in this and a few other threads, this doesn't seem isolated to me or the North East area.

All other TVs/Recorders still OK for full 8 days so just affecting the two Humax boxes.

Stuck for what to do next. Can live with it but really is a pain considering it was fine until a few weeks ago,

I have a 9150T and since I did a manual retune on the 20th I have lost most of the commercial channels on the EPG for anything above 2-3 days, BBC seem to be OK and do the full 7 days.

My 9300 has been the same for a month or so.
I can only receive from one transmitter (Redruth) being in the far west of Cornwall, so it is definitely not that. I have no channels in the 800s.
Both my HD box and Sony TV have perfect 8-day EPGs. The problem is only on the Humax.

Whenever I look at the EPG on my 9200 and my friend's 9300 it is full, are we just lucky here in the East Midlands.

Noticed this some months ago when DSO happened. I live in Crawley, West Sussex, and get my transmission from Crystal Palace. I know how to manually tune my 9200 and have done so several times (it's not rocket science). No channels in the 800s (as you'd expect from a manual tune), yet my EPG has gaps in it after three day mark onwards. Done a few default resets, which fills up the EGP and works for a day, but reverts back to gaps soon after. Deleted channels that I don't need, which still doesn't help. I gave up and decided to live with it. Still, it's a pain and really shouldn't happen. My Sony TV always has a complete EPG.

Maybe it's only with some transmitters. It's odd, that's for sure.

My 9200T EPG just gets worse. Now it's only populated up to the current programme. After that, it's completely blank! Given the posts above, this would appear to be a Humax issue which for me only started happening a few weeks ago, albeit it was partially populated as opposed to the current empty situation. What the heck is going on?

Whereas I am just unlucky on my 9150, also in East Midlands (and, before you ask, manually tuned to just Waltham) and keep getting a sparsely populated EPG.

So I am doubly

I'll have an in-depth look at my friend's 9300 EPG tonight, she's on the Waltham transmitter. I don't think she's retuned yet since the channel reshuffle last week so not sure how that might affect EPG population.

I've just looked again and the EPG is now fully populated! Hopefully it will say like that but I'm not holding my breath.

Just been trying to schedule next weeks recordings to no avail. The epg fully populates then when selecting a programme to record the whole thing disappears again. Is this a problem with Waltham?

Was this situation just after switch-on? It is normal for the EPG to appear empty just after switch-on but it then rapidly populates. I've just had a close look at my 9200 EPG and I have found a few gaps mainly in shopping and adult channels, but nothing to write home about.
