Who's going to be brave enough to say that this will not happen with the Humax FVP-4000T in a couple of years time? Seriously, can anyone from Humax reassure us that the latest model is better future proofed than the 9200. I only had mine for a couple of years before problems arose. There was a 'fix' that lasted about a year before more problems occurred and now it is almost unusable. When it was working OK it was a great piece of kit. I would love to invest in the latest model but I don't have the confidence, yet.

I bit the bullet and bought a good secondhand Youview DTR-1100 (IIRC). I was aware that they had teething problems but for £50 I thought it was worth a punt. It is so refreshing to have a machine that responds instantaneously - more or less. Since I bought it, I've never used the 9200.
