This Sony Go, was billed as an active phone for active lifestyles, and fast photos, and everything else was great for my purposes, so I jumped at the chance and got one.

It is good, except it has a slow shutter speed, but I'm used to it now, but it has one really huge issue. The camera produces fuzzy photos, for the most part, because it has no image stabiliser!

I just spoke to Sony Support who said that I should see if I can find an app to help the issue, as there is nothing that can be done to add a stabiliser. Not really impressed by that answer to be honest.

Does anyone have any suggestions if there is an app or something I can do?

I can't afford a seperate camera at this time, and as I have memory issues, the camera is a vital 24/7 piece of equipment for me.

Do any phones apart from the as yet unlaunched lumia 920 have image stabilizers?

My previous phone a Sony Ericsson Neo did. It was quite effective too, I found. Most of the Sony Ericsson phones did.

Now this is why you should research a phone before you buy one.

Or buy online so you can try it out and send back if it's not suitable, I made the mistake of buying my last phone in the shop and now I'm stuck with it.

Image stabilisation in phones is generally via software, easy to implement and not a great solution (better than not having it but usually at some compromise to image quality compared to without it).
