I thought i read that they had both been asked to leave the show. I know there was a bit of uproar at the time as they were so well known.

I was suprised to see them still there on Saturday night. Did Strictly do a U-turn ?

They were dropped from the Strictly tour last year. The producers said it was to give some of the other pros a chance to do the tour as they can't all be on it. After that I thought it was a sign they might be leaving but it seems not.

They were dropped from the tour, but the tour is run by a private company under licence from the BBC, so it wouldn't be the same producers as those responsible for the show.

Ironically (or perhaps not), Craig produced the last Strictly tour so, theoretically at least, was responsible for dropping the Jordans. That might seem logical given the spats between Craig and James, but I'm sure those are scripted and do not represent their actual relationship.

I imagine the Jordans come as a matched pair for something like the tour. The most boring reason for them not being wanted - that Alex was not doing the tour and there wasn't therefore a sleb partner for James - is probably the correct one. Katya partnered Robbie Savage on tour instead of Ola.

I wondered if it was known Katya was "leaving" (whatever way it happened, a nd they all knew she was getting married) and this was Craig giving her a chance of a "swansong" with the fans.

The tour had an odd numbers of pro's - only 6 from the last series plus Mark Foster - with Ian Waite dancing with Natalie for Group dance
